Hi,
i am a newbie and just discover Adsense. You may laugh at me. I wonder if adsense allow webmaster to earn money by click through, i don;t think they can prevent fradulent clicks. I read thier policies and yes they stated that but how do they check. i can fly from one place to another , go to internet cafe and click all the way. How are they going to check?

| Lol....you are not going to find anyone here that will help you defraud google. Too many people have made successful incomes from adsense to risk it by speaking publicly on topics such as this. |

Hi Tony,
The simple answer is technology, and Google and others have it including SiteSell. They know when funny stuff is going on
I would NOT recommend trying anything that may hurt your business.
You probably already know but the best information regarding adsense is through SiteSell, http://www.associateprograms.com/search/adsense.shtml
and http://www.about-adsense.com
Take their FREE Mini-Course
Follow the above resources and you'll do well. No need for you know what
All the best

Tony, if you want to know if Google can or cannot detect fraudulent clicks, just visit Webmasterworld.com and SitePointForums.com
There are hundreds of posts by webmasters who were kicked from the program who didn't think Google could detect it either. Not only did they lose a nice source of income, they also lost all the earnings they had to date that hadn't been paid yet.

Hi Debs, yes i have read some of the comments and complaints about google Adsense.
Hey!! if i have an enemy who hated me to the point that he is going to kill me anytime, he is going to open up my website and click my Adsense ad one million times, then i am sure to get kick out from google Adsense, that is unfair.
Does google knows that this things would happen and what if google intend to lie, before i get my $2000 check , they say "oh you have in invalid clicks, goodbye to your account". There should be a better system for webmaster to check clearly.
Oh my god.. is there anything that can be done to improve this situation?

First off, if someone targets you, Google can tell. This was also a huge discussion on the forums mentioned above. IP's are tracked and matched by Google, including geographic ranges.
All you can do is be as honest as you can, provide quality content, and don't put all your eggs in one basket
Integrity wise, you won't find many merchants with the same integrity Google offers. They aren't perfect, but IMO they are darn close

Hey Debs, you have a nice website, and by the way i just click all of the googles ads on your website so you can get some extra cash, i guess that is honest , right, i didn't click more than once on each ads, only ads on your homepage.
It is my way to say thank you
And i know why you call yourself Debs, it sounds like "debt" and that is your theme on your website. Am i right?

Tony, you are wrong about my name, that is my real name. Secondly, if you clicked my ads, I will report you to Google. I am not kidding here and if you did that, it isn't even close to being funny.

Tony,
You need to learn how all this works before you start clicking away. You can do some real damage. It isn't like it was years ago where you could just be click happy. Google adsense is monitored intensely... |

Holy mackeral.... it's this kind of thing that makes for a slippery slope, doesn't it? This is just like people in the non-virtual world opening a business without ever knowing anything about the industry.
Speaking of how Google is monitoring websites, I came across this one that is obviously making their ads look like Adsense, but it's from another company.... should I report them to Google or is there nothing that can be done? http://www.farceonline.com/ |

| Tony, put yourself in the advertiser's shoes. Would you want someone who had no interest in your products / service to click on your ads and run up your bill? Or would you prefer to have only potential customers clicking on your ads? Don't forget, it's the advertiser who pays for the clicks--and many advertisers are one-person businesses like us who don't have a lot of spare cash. |

Just curious, Debs, why does your newsletter say your name is Brent? Not that I care, I was just wondering if you worked by yourself or had a partnership with someone.
Although a bit misguided, Tony does raise a valid point. Suppose you angered someone with a post to a message board, what keeps them from making several fraudulant clicks to your adsense ads? How would Google know it wasn't you making the clicks? I guess once I get my site up and running I'll have to make sure I agree with everyone. |
