he offers a way to check links to other sites but I can't seem to make it work, any suggestions
linkdomain:www.your-competitor.com-site:www.your-competitor.com
Also
Am looking at PressEqualiser as recemmended in #26 and was wondering if it is still getting good results for people or if it has been around for a while and is now recognised by Search Engines?
Cheers

Try it with a space in the middle.
Like this:
linkdomain:www.your-competitor.com -site:www.your-competitor.com

I'm planning to remove that recommendation from the next edition. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Allan
Thanks for that.
Do you have any other way you recommend to take the place of PressEqualizer other than the pay per article sites (even PRweb is no longer free)?
I am experimenting with EzineArticle?s ***.com but I see it oly has a google rank of 2 so maybe it is not that good.
Also do you still recommend Sean Wu?s Tag and Ping?
Thanks

PRWeb is good - that's why they can get away with charging fees. How good it is depends a lot on how clever you are at writing a press release that people not only read but take the action you want them to.

There's useful info in there. You need creative, attention-getting writing to make it work really well.
By doing a variety of different things and using a variety of different tactics, you gradually introduce your site to a wider market. However, after you've done a bit of experimenting you have to weigh up what the best things are to spend your time on. The answer differs for different people because it depends on your skills and interests.
I've just had a look at your site. Nice swags! One of the best tactics you could use would be to hire a really good, creative writer who knows a lot about camping, someone who could write lively, chatty yarns, and get them published on camping and fishing sites, with a link back to your site. If the yarns are good enough, other sites will agree to publish them. _________________ Allan Gardyne
