I've recently taken an interest in adwords for the purpose of A-B aplit testing some landing pages for conversions.

I opened an adwords account that was associated with my adsense account and it asked me if I had a promotional coupon code. I didn't so I went and bought one on ebay.

Last night I got an email from the seller - I was expecting the code but instead got a word document with instructions on how to open a new adwords account - then telling me to open an Adwords Pro account, create 3 dummy client accounts and voila - 3 ?25 worth of credits to use for the client accounts.

That is not what I paid for

Now I'm not one to mess with Google, I even thought buying a coupon on ebay was a bit naughty - but you can only use 1 per account right - so I thought "why not"

I'm pretty sure the instructions I was sent are against the TOS and I won't be following them. I've contacted the seller and asked for a refund.

I thought I'd contact him direct first before giving bad feedback and highlighting the scam.

Staying on the right side of Google is a definite part of my online business strategy..
