Yeah I've been thinking about this too. It's best to keep the premium totally original content on your site, afterall that's what makes a website unique! Even tho some sources say it's fine to re-use/ redistribute the content on your site as article content (as long as you've had it on your site for at least a month) I still wouldn't do it.
What I usually do with many of my content sites is chop each webpage in half and rewite it into an article. I don't stop there -- what I do next is spin it human/auto method into about 50 unique articles. The end result is that each of these 50 articles have different headlines and they all will typically range from 30% - 70% unique when compared with each other.
Doing this enables me to keep premium unique content exclusively for my site - and at the same time have enough unique articles to distribute to directories or content communities.
And to add icing on the cake for maximum exposure and SEO, I optimize each article around a different targeted keyword for my niche. This way I have an opportunity to appear in multiple search engine listings!

Looking and testing for new ideas can be a good move but you should somawhat duplicate what's working for others becasue they are already making money for it.
Write hundreds of articles and post them in different article directories and social sites like squidoo and hubpages and your sales will be increasing everytime you make lots of it.
Provided that you have lots of quality articles.

Yes! I agree on this point that there is no secret
in Internet Marketing, Educate ownself and put things well as per Goal you set for.

Is this the reason why there are people who post basically the same content on different sites except for a few changed words?
For example, I put what I just said on one site. and then on another site, i put it this way:
Are these reasons why there are persons who post the same content on various sites except for a few modified words?

here is an idea to through around. This method is not for everyone, but used by many top marketers.
You will need video's and pictures and lots of great content. Plus you will need 3 highly target keywords.
Idea-Create a backlink pinwheel using free Google Loved sites.
S1-Pick a site to host your money site--I use Weebly-Auto responder with free PDF (can also add you own domain at some point and PPC)
S2-Create a squidoo review lens--links back to your money site and free PDF download on weebly.
S3-Create a hubpages that links to your money site and your Squdioo lens.
S4-Create a quizzilla story and link back to your hubpages and squidoo lens.
S5-Create a wetpaint site and link back to the first two again.
S6-Create articles and link back to money site and squidoo review.
S7-Zimbio, links to your money site and Squidoo
S8-Social Bookmark all of these properties and your articles.
S9-Ping all of the properties, as you create them.
make sure you change up your content.
S10-Now here is the cool part, Use Alexa Movers and Shakers to find new properties that are ranking well and add in. These will also link back to your money site and Squidoo
S11-Then start a free blog at blogger and wordpress and make post, link back to money page and Squidoo.
Last part start over and your next pinwheel links to your other properties. Example... would be create another ring of the above sites, but this time just point back to one property. Say Hubpages.
After your done you have created dozens of backlinks to your site from High PR sites.
It's a cool technique to play around with if you have some time.
