One of the best free services (donations welcome but not required) is http://www.selfpromotion.com/
I believe Allan has recommended them as well.
Even if you can only afford $10 I strongly recommend paying something to get access to some of the best tools available.
The site is a great resource of free information, as well as comments from the owner on what he has tried and his results.
