If not can you please explain/tell me what i must change or add.

Hiya ,

Great design , however , it looks a little busy to me. I'm not sure if its the colors or the layout. I thought it was a site about space at 1st glance.

I also think you might want a little more content on your keywords , but get other opinions before you change anything. This is just my opinion..Good Luck

Jeff

To be frank, I'm not sure what you are selling, except that it is a wide variety.

I get this NASA feeling when I'm entering your site. I have trouble getting your message. What are you really offering, and how do I find it?

Feeling a bit lost here: What is the concept, what is the offer; and what are the benefits?

Maybe I haven't checked it goods enough; on the other hand; I shouldn't have to; the message should be clear as soon as I enter the site. Unfortunately, I don't get that clearsight in a glance.

Maybe you are too broad; not niche enough?

hello data, i understand your views, here is what i was thinking and just wondering if what i suggest is on the right tracks to what your sigessting. I was thinking i should just focus my site on software/internet as in software for security, and software for site design etc, and leaving off dvd's games music etc action and drama books, only keep software/internet as the niche. and have books but books which are only related on this subject. On the main page i put information on spyware etc, adware and other such guides for security, domains etc, and then ones talked about them in detail i offer the products?

Am i thinking along the right tracks?

Thanks

Internet is a big niche, huge in fact. Try to get more targeted if you can, and still retain your interest in the subject matter.

The design is what I would term hi tech space age Smile which is a great design for certain niches, and age groups. You need to define your target market, and aim your design and content to them. Once you do that, you can make your focus much clearer on entry to the site.

Paul, regarding such negative comments ... please provide a basis for your comments? All the pics loaded fine for me, so maybe if you posted your OS, Platform, connection speed and type of connection, and why you feel the design is poor? If you really want to help someone, be constructive, not destructive. Destructive comments help noone, and make the author appear childish.

thanks debs, i was thinking of focusing on security, like pop up removers etc, security on websites such as hiding code, security books etc, i mean is it better off entering a niche market like security in all shape and form whethere related to software webpages books etc thatn doing a whole range of things, im sure it is just wondering, my aim is to earn 500 a month by September,

Thanks

althought there has been suggestion in specialising. To cut the cloth too thing would also mean diaster just as much as over specialising. To have a site with numerous products available it gives people the oppurtunity to select from one site without to search the web for appropriate sites.

hello, i have to agree with what john says in many respects. You dont have to specialise in one particular area, look at all the big companies such as amazon, shops like argos. Do they limit them selves to one type product? I do agree with what you say, it can work yes, but that way i look at it after being in business for a few years is that if i went to quality purchases to buy a dvd player, and i bought it and was happy with it, perhaps i wanted some dvd's i could purchase them from there. About the comments saying you dont know what the site is about, in some ways that is true but if you go to the site to buy books, its obvious that you click books, if you wanted a reference book its obvious you click the reference book. And on the page where the books are there are details regarding that purchase. I dunno about all this, these are just my views, i know you people are the experts but i had to get it off my chest.

Thanks

Do you have their budget for advertising? That's how they did it, not with a low budget from a homemade site, believe me.

How are you going to compete with them? By focus and niche. Yes, niche sites in categories that are not full of SEO designed sites, can be dominated by the small guy or gal. You won't get the number of visitors the big fish do, but your visitors will be more targeted, and easier to convert to action. You won't have the advertising expense either.

Once you get one site done in a niche, then go do another in anothe niche, then another, then another. Stick with the niche concept, diversify, and you will earn a lot more than one multi-focused site. Why? Because ...

1. your visitors are targeted to that niche,
2. you offer fewer distractions,
3. less is more ... less navigation, easier for visitors to find what they want, and
4. you come across as an authority in your niche which builds confidence and trust.

There are billions of people on the net, there are billions of sites also. Why go against the big boys for a crumb, when you can have a full piece of the pie in a niche?

My 2 cents,
Debs

jeez i didnt wanna cause arguments with this topic.

This is my plan for improving it,
- Focus/Target Software/Internet Security
- Website Security
- Antivirus , spyware remover, popup removers
- Books relating to security
- Guides explaining what security is, how it works why it is needed etc
- On the main page make it clear i specialise in Software/Internet Security
- Keep the same domain/design for def

Is this the way to go,
Thanks
