I get a lot of my site traffic from the forums, particularly the Warrior forum. I have even made sales from forum posting.
I don't think it's hard, but it takes time to build up your posts that should be offering something of value - advice, help, tips, encouragement - and it takes time to build trust and respect with those you communicate with on forums. Some forums are busier than others.
It helps to put appropriate and acceptable links within the body of the forum post, not just in the signature file, so that people will click on a link that is in context with the post.
Hope that helps,

If you would like traffic from this forum or any other forum, ask the members to do a site review.
In addition to the increased traffic, members will also critique your site.
For example,
Your Premier Sponsors are some of the best in the industry and partnering with these companies builds trust and credibility.
Respectfully,
Cwayne

leb123z is right. But be sure to find forums that correspond to your niche business888. Otherwise, it's most likely that the traffic are wasted.

Here are some great forums apart from this one of course, that help you direct traffic:

Forums can be great for traffic generation. The big thing to remember when posting in forums is either to try and provide quality responses or ask questions. Whatever you do, try and not to be self promotional - this just ticks people off. _________________ Wealthy Affiliate Review

I think building a community is real hard work rather than traffic, it takes real work. You need quality content and useful information regularly through involvement, for this you have to work at thread participation to bring activities in forum. Traffic is secondary think then. _________________ Micfo International LLC

If you have chosen to participate in a forum that correspond to your interest and not a forum to just driving traffic to your site to make money...it's going to be real easy.
Enjoy what you are doing and money will come naturally. _________________ Discover What the Gurus Have Been Hiding From You!

When I get up everyday I clear my emails and then I go to some of my favorite forums and make a few posts on topics that catch my eye. I do this almost everyday. Over time I have built up some credibility doing it and get traffic from that. Plus I learn a lot reading. This is the best free training you can find. _________________ Jeff Schuman

In my opinion there is no easy way to make money, most of such programs are either scam or not authentic, whatever you do you have to work at it. _________________ Micfo International LLC

Forums help alot, the rule is to not spam them. Just join forums that are on topic with your site and put your sites link in your sig. At the end of the day, you most probably made your site because you have an interest in that topic, if this is the case then you will also enjoy adding valuable content to the forums and also learning new things about your sites topic. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

No. Get interesting posts going, create relevant and multiple categories and keep out spammers. You need an active moderator to monitor postings. _________________ 16 Year old kid From Australia Reveals...

Forums definitely work! You just need to be patient and kind enough to help anyone in the forum. It's a slow and tedious process but a sure way to earn credibility and followings. _________________ Earn exponentially!

profitvehicle, If you want a site review, ask in the Site Review section of the forum.
Make sure you read the forum instructions first. If you follow the instructions you'll have a better chance of getting a response. _________________ Allan Gardyne
