CJ Reporting has been very erratic lately. It's my belief (which I can not prove) that affiliate sales are being missed.
And while I can not back this up I do work with at least one affiliate program that is concerned enough to send emails to their affiliates that they are using independant tracking to be sure affiliates get credit for their efforts.
At least one company recognizes the true value of top affiliates.

I think CJ could make their system a lot better but unfortunately for now we have to use what we are given.

I'm also finding commissions in the reports bouncing around.
For example it could show $35 for one program in the afternoon then just a few hours later the commission for the sales on that program could be $25. Yet the payout rate is supposedly the same.

Who knows. I've had the same suspicions with CJ, but I also had the same suspicions with Clickbank (for a looooooooooong time at first) until I finally made some sales.
You could always offer some kind of bonus if someone orders through your link, then you can ask people to email you to receive their bonuses. That way, unless people are lying, you will know if you have actually made any sales.

I have substaintiated proof that sales are being missed, so I have stopped putting any real effort into promoting CJ affiliates. They are a big company with a lot of programs, but I don't work for free.

I've been getting really depressed with my CJ results - very high click through rate and no sales or leads at all.
I've even started promoting a CPC merchant (Pricerunner) to see if I get anything at all and nada - although the clicks are going through...
Clickbank is fine, no problems there. I thought the CJ thing might have something to do with me using redirects but they're registering my CTR no problem..
Would be interested to know what the evidence is - I know you can't and shouldn't post it here, it's good to know that there's a problem though.

I can post here just fine. I clear the cookies, and have people I know make small purchases of products with their credit card.
It should be tracked and it's not. And this applies to more than just one vendor.
Is somebody shaving? Is the system just not tracking properly?
I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I can only say that legitimate sales are being made and NOT being credited to my account. I don't work for free, so I don't push the products. I've done very well with CJ over the years - this is not a promising turn.
I buy everything I promote. This is how I know if the program is worth promoting and if the links are working and tracking properly. If I want to know what Ewan Chia is doing I buy his book. Rosalind Gardner - same thing. If I need a new computer screen - you guessed it - affiliate program.
This is my business, this is what I do for a living. Plus it's just another deductible expense and I either learn something from what I buy, or I put it to work in my business. This is applicable across all categories. Going on Vactation - why not find a Travel Affilate, a Car Rental Affiliate... etc.

I have been promoting CJ goods now for long,but my conversions isn't what I though it should be.
I almost feel certain am missing some commisions. Am not gonna spend my time with them again.
