First off , I'm not too sure where to post this, so hopefully Mr G will place it appropriately.
I had a funny conversation with my lil man this morning while he was getting ready for school. He's 6, just turned 6 yesterday actually. Now get this... He has 3 winter coats. He was fussing over which to wear. Then he stopped and said some kids dont have coats right. I said thats right some kids dont have coats. Thenhe asked If I could sell the other 2 coats on the puter (his words) to kids with no coats.
Now this got me thinking. and heres what Im going to do all winter. Its getting cold here in the great white north. Im going to donate or buy coats and give them a local charity, the sally anne or a coats for kids kinda thing here in Ottawa, with a percentage of what I make all winter. I'm thinking that some of you might do that same. Its good karma and its good for the kids. I just love my lil man his head and heart are in the right place (must be from his mom)

What a beautiful story to share. The one thing we often forget is that charity is not always financial. I have started giving time as well. I visit a home for the mentally challenged and come away after each visit with just as good a feeling as when you put a deal together where you and your "new Partner" feel it is a win win.

That's a great thing to do and it will teach your son some great lessons as well.
I see you are from Ottawa....My family is actually preparing to move up there once we sell our house -- I am in New Brunswick now. Makes me feel good to read your story and know there are good people in Ottawa.
