What method of getting your site indexed has the best results for you? Do your sites get indexed faster via submission to the search engines, or not submitting and working on back links so you get indexed naturally and "let the search engine find you"?
Wondering what works best for you in your experience. _________________ HIGHLY recommend DreamHost! for your hosting needs.

From my experience there is no silver bullet to get your page indexed.
Do all the following as much as you can...
1. get many back links
2. submit to all major SE manualy by hand!
3. get a sitemap up on HTML and XML format
4. submit sitemap to google
hmmm... that is good enough,
It will at least make sure to have that page indexed. _________________ Andrew Nurcahya

Link to your new site from one of your existing sites or from one of your blogs. You'll get crawled pretty quickly.
Make sure you have an account at Google and submit a sitemap. This yeilds valuable information on what is being crawled.
Being indexed is essential, but means nothing until your indexing results in traffic.
Any link from any site that is not penalized by Google is a good. You are not going to make money overnight from Organic Search just get the links and don't worry so much about the exact date. _________________

I'd say having your link in your sig file on forums like this.
Allan got a site of mine indexed in 3 days with G.

Start a free blog in blogger and post a link whenever you launch a new site. Blogger sites get spidered regularly so you should get indexed quickly. _________________ How to Make a Website

Set up a free blogger blog, keyword related to your web site.
In your blogger blog:
write posts with keyword anchors to your web site
put sidebar links with keyword anchors to your web site
after each post ping your blog at pingomatic or ipings
get a Google personal home page and add your blog feed to it -
get My Yahoo! and My MSN pages and add the feeds there also.
Don't leave any of these steps out.
I've never had a site take longer than a week to index in Google doing this. But your mileage may vary.
You can do all the above steps in a day or two.
Then submit your web site to pertinent directories.

bullet indexing...
Usually adding you site to the search engines "add url" won't get you indexed faster but of course there is always an exception to the rule!
For MSN only > http://search.ninemsn.com.au/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=SUNO ... usually indexed within 24 hours.
Add an article to these three/four article sites...
www.ezinearticles.com
www.goarticles.com
www.isnare.com
www.ideamarketers.com ... usually indexed with 24 to 72 hours
Free press release on one of the popular pr sites... usually indexed with 24 to 72 hours of release.
A link on two high pr 4 or 5 sites, buy them for a month.
Yahoo can be slow or is the slowest out of all of them in picking up new sites.
If your serious about SEO and building your visitor, plave your website in their directory... $299 but worth every penny.
Cheers, Chris

Whoops, nearly forgot to mention... put the link in your sig file on this forum, 2 to 3 posts... probably under a week. |

indexing fast is possible by having link from web pages with good traffic or hi PR,
search blogs that does the same or almost same business as yours, when you found them, just few is enough,
post comments on thier blog with your keyword link to your site,
if you over due it, then it raise the spam flag,
so don't abuse it.
your site will get index less that 48 hours,
hope it helps _________________ Work at Home Business Directory

Dave - can you clarify:
Was the site absolutely new? How many posts (with sigs) did you have at the time?
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Hi Charlie
Yes the site was completely new. I added it to my sig file and in 3 days I had a listing in Google. No description but I was in none the less.
At the time I had about 500 posts.
Hope the helps. _________________ Business Owners Guide to Going Online What every business owner needs to know about going online |

Post subject: get your new website crawled everyday
|
|
|
I recently noticed one of my new site is getting crawled by search engines (esp. google and yahoo) almost everyday. I do not submit any links to any high quality sites as I am suppose to do. The reson is I submit my RSS feeds to RSS search engines like feedburner etc. Also to MyYahoo, MyGoogle. This will force search engines to crawl your webpages quite often.
My new website was indexed in under 24 hours (without adding my link to my site on high page rank site) ano since after one month of launch it has started ranking for few keywords. I am hoping to get top search engine listing soon for most competitive keywords.
Hope the article helps. Please comment if you have more ideas. _________________ affiliate programs marketing | guaranteed seo | cats caring | monetize website traffic |
