Hello friends ,

I just tried giving ad through google adwords. It has been around 10 days now. But there is no response yet. I mean I got only two clicks whereas my page impression was around 4000.
So I want to ask how long should I wait for good response ?
My keywords list is long and I have also tried two different formats of ads. Although its not doing well.

Hope to get useful reply from experts.

Thanks

Arpit Gosai

Hmm, 4000 impressions in 10 days means:

1) You have a niche, that people don't look for.
2) Your bid's are too low and you're somewhere on the 3rd page, so visitors don't usually go there.

So try this:

1) Increase your Max Bid amount, but don't rush to the top (will cost a lot)
You can use overture tool, to check max bid's for certain keywords:

http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/

2) Type more relevant ads, try to tell the benefits of your product, why users need your product not anyone's else.

3) Try enabling content ads, those might help but they have less conversion %

I think that should help you.

Regards.

well, my main keyword is html website, and I dont think its not profitable niche.
And as I told you I have just started, so I dont how to bid, I just let google decide how much should I pay.

And I have made two ads so I can track which ad is going well , then also none of them makes good luck for me.
I think I should get more knowledge about adwords.

Hmm, well the overture bid tool says that the max bid is $0.44, but on google it might be way higher.

Try using this tool to generate more keywords for your website and see what people are actually looking for.

Also, make as much keywords as you can, you never know which one will work. After you find out, delete the unnecessary ones.

Google has written a very effective pdf ebook on how to write ads and manage campaigns. It's free and about 40 pages.

Hi arpitgosai,
2 possible reasons to your problem:
1) You are using too general keywords. That means the keyword is just too broad. Err..or the demand for the niche is very low. I've just searched your keywords using ClickAdE and seems like indeed very low demand. Take statistic as fact arpitgosai, don't rely on feelings.

2) Your ads are not appealing enough. You have limited space to describe everything in an Adwords ad. So, be sure that the ads you write has some appeal. Try changing the ads. My current campaign CTR increase tremendously just by little tweak at the ads.

Enjoy!

try this as the first line in one of your adcopys

{KeyWord:Html Website} exactly as shown

It will dynamically insert whatever people are typing in to the search engine according to the keywords you are using. Which in turn will move your ad up in position because it will make your ad more relevant to the searches. It also means people will see exactly what they are searching for and be more inclined to click on your ad. Thighten your keyword list down but be preapred your not in a cheap category so like waken says your clicks may cost you. Search on the term yourself in google and see what the top ad's are using for their adcopy and use it also, your not there to make friends your there to make money. I suggest you read as much as possible about Google Adwords, the free and best place to start is Google itself. They have some good video demo's. If you turn on the Content network in that category it may cost you a small fortune. So be careful if you do that.

LOOK at your keywords, are they relevant to what you are trying to get across. Make sure you insert all three keyword types in your ad eg. [html website] "html website" html website. Get some negative keywords also to filter out the garbage.

make people take action by putting it in your adcopy eg. buy now, go here now etc. but you can't use things like click here, so you have to be careful.

If I were you I would seriuosly go read some of the Google tutorials and especially the rules and ad policies.

You should always run two different ads (split testing) and keep tweaking the less popular one. You should also be breaking down your keywords into seperate ad groups according to their search terms.

When my website is done you can check that out for more info www.adwordsrelevance.com , should be in the next week or so.

If your not afraid of anyone stealing your adcopy or your promotion you can post one of your ads here and we can maybe help you tweak it. Up to you if you want to take a chance.

One mistake people make is that they "dump" 2000 keywords into each adgroup...set all keywords at a certain max bid and let it run for "10 days". You need to be more methodical in your methods with Google if you wish to succeed with them. YOu need to be very targetted. Even going so far as only putting 10 words into each adgroup and forming an ad that is very specific to those ten keywords. Then, if possible, bid high engough so that you show up on page one. You may lose a bit of money to start, but this will allow you to test more quickly and also find the "winning", or converting keywords. If after a while you see that even though you have good clicks and good ctr for a keyword, but no conversion, you may consider reducing bids, or getting rid of that keyword altogether.

But the biggest lesson here is to test in small amounts and don't stuff adgroups full of keywords with an untargetted ad...that will kill your campaign fast!

Dave.

You may have a low bid or people are not looking for that right now. If your keyword is related to a season, you may been showing them off season items.

Again, the type of keyword tool you use can affect your viwership. Searches on overture, msn and Google are not the same. So if you used something like inventory.overture.com to research popularity, the metrics cannot apply to Google.
