Hello all - Longtime lurker and blogger.
I have 9 different blogs going on blogger and have happily used them all along. They're easy to update and seem to do well. I've been reading the endlessly happy reports about WordPress for quite some time and didn't change simply because Blogger was what I knew. I finally decided to take the plunge this weekend and see what it was all about, so I activated WordPress through Fantastico on my paid hosting account. I can't thank all of you that had recommended WordPress enough. Fabulously easy and very very flexible. I love the look of it too.

Well I am still using Blogger because it's what I know, but recently with the switch to the new beta Blogger, I've lost my archived post links, and now my PR has gone from 3 to 0 and Blogger has been of no help whatsoever so far. So I am thinking of switching to Wordpress, got a blog set up there, but now I'm still unsure that I really want to switch.
What I'd like is to have my archived post links back to functional and then I'll be happy.
I have heard most people say Wordpress is the best, but then others need some training for it.
What are the main advantages of switching over to Wordpress from Blogger?

There are many advantages of using wordpress:
A lot of plugin out there includiing adsense plugin. Easy activation.
easy importing from other blogging services like blogger, liveJournal, Textpattern, etc.
multi or single user, it's up to you, you can add user or remove as you want
pretty permalinks which is search engine friendly
scheduled post: you can schedule a post to be published in other day. This means you can post entries on your summer vacation. So, thevisitor will never leave you.
in the 2.0.5 version of wordpress, built-in incoming links from technoratti
you can create a single page
many more
so, i highly recommend you to switch to wordpress. if you are not sure what you are doing, wordpress forum may help. _________________ Just one word: Try!

Wordpress IS pretty coool!!!
Ive been a happy blogger user for quite some time, but switched to wordpress in august, the learning curve was a but steep (hosting it) and fooling about with php. Kinda sux starting back at pr 0 with a new blog but it is a fun ride. Chris pearson has a very user friendly wordpess theme called cutline. It's all seo'd up the yin yang. Im testing it out on my site at the moment using it as content management to post articles for my site, good fun !! _________________ Visit Affiliates R Us! make money blogging online the blog
