Post subject: Putting replicated site content on your own paid webhost?
|
|
|
Hello. I've only recently had real success with affiliate marketing, after trying since last November. So now I'm doing pretty well, but I know it could be better if I weren't paying so much for ads on Google. There is apparently a lot of competition for the display url I'm promoting (and they only offer one for affiliates), and I know that that drives keyword prices up for that domain name, since only one result can be displayed for a domain name at a time.
So here's my question...could I buy my own domain name and hosting package and somehow copy the content of the replicated affiliate site onto there? Assuming I had permission from the program director? Is this possible, and would I lose any sales? I get paid through ccbill.
If it is possible, then how do I do it? I don't know anything about websites. Although I think the replicated site only has about four pages, so I guess it would still be manageable. I hope someone can help. Because if I can use my own domain and host, then I could pay about a third of what I'm currently paying in ad costs. Thanks!

Google has closed the door on a lot of old techniques used to promote on their adwords network. There were so many affiliate promoting so many of the same products. Google views this as non beneficial to the "User Experience".
Your question is really - can I make a website and make money promoting products without Adwords. The answer is sure, but not without learning what you are doing. The internet is another business communications medium. There are few "secrets" left. As something is discovered it becomes distributed and the effect is for over distribution to the point of saturation. Clickbank has some excellent products but they are over distributed. Honestly how many times do I need to see the "Jerk" something or other concept copied?
Money goes to the innovator the promoter the guy who came up with the idea and was able to market it to others. Remember Cabage Patch Kids? For awhile if you could get them you could name your price. Huge Demand and low supply. Now who cares?
Learn your craft. Maybe internet marketing is for you, maybe not. But if you think you are going to just make a website and put clickbank articles on it to make money you will probably be dissapointed. There are thousands and thousands of clickbank affiliates. However if you can figure out how to make a website and get traffic through some other means perhaps you will make a good return.
If you have little desire to Really Learn this business, but still want to participate then I'd take a hard look at Site Build It. This tool allows you to create websites without a lot of worrying about technical aspects. It also has some excellent built in marketing potential. _________________

I am glad I found your post. I was looking for ideas to incorporate into my newest venture. A free host for affiliate webmasters with an easy site builder and an integrated datafeed.
Using a datafeed, you have thousands of pages with your merchants products, assuming they have products. The nice part is, that it is included in the website.
The site is far from finished, but in semi working order if you need a free site to play with I would be glad to set one up for you as long as you give me feedback on my system.
check out bumblebeecash.com and let me know if you would like to try it out. I have about 5 domains up you can use sub domains of, but I am considering allowing root domains also. |
