Post subject: how many PLR packages to offer?
|
|
|
A 2-part question to those of you who purchase PLR packages or memberships:
1. How important is the "scarcity factor" in your decision to purchase PLR articles?
Say I offer a package of articles on several different niches. To me, setting a maximum number of
packages to be sold is a better selling point than just saying "a limited number". But...
2. Is there a magic number that would make you say, "he's offering that to too many people, its too
much competition now". In other words you might buy it if it was limited to 300 people but not if it was
offered to 600?
Obviously there are other factors such as price and quality. Plus many purchasers would only use one
or two niches and never touch the rest, so that would decrease competition significantly. I think the
real answer is "it depends", but I'm just looking for a ballpark number.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm making sense anymore so I think I need some sleep.
thanks,
mike |

Hey Mike:
If it was a plr package of actual finished products like ebooks, then I would say a good number for me would be around the 200 member mark.
Articles would be good at let's say 300 to 400 members. I belong to Article Undeground which gives out 400 articles to 350 members. But what I like about their system though is that the articles are on a whole bunch of different niches and given to members in an unorganized manner. This is good I believe because it allows members to use articles without a lot of duplication.
Good luck.

A lot depends on the quality and the topics... but I would say somewhere around 200 is a good target.
You can also do multiple packages. Like:
200 articles (package 1)
200 articles (package 2).
And each package has its own membership (nothing prohibits me from joining each group, but I pay for each membership). _________________ Eric D. Burdo

1. The phrase "a limited number" is meaningless. I like to see a concrete figure.
2. Definately as few as possible, however I could live with a number around 200. Anymore than that and I would pass on the offer.
No one is going to rewrite the articles the way I do, but still, more than 200 is a pass for me. _________________ David Wilding

Hi,
Does the number really matter...?
As presumably being private label, it means that people who purchase are then able to sell or even give away the product/s.
I've seen plr products come on the market and within days have found the same product available free.
I s'pose referring to selling a limited number in the actual 'sales pitch' may have a factor in persuading your potential customer to buy.

Different PLR sites have different rules. They're often quite strict on what can be done with the PLR material. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Hi there Mike,
Limited number of users is one of my main consideration when joining a PLR membership or buying a PLR package. 500 or less is my criteria when choosing either one.
I also place emphasis on quality of the materials. I've unsubscribed from 2 PLR memberships because I need to rewrite a lot of the materials. Their materials unfortunately have things like wrong words usage, misplaced punctuations, and same info repeated many times using different words/phrases in the same article. I understand the need to re-write to make it unique, but these type of errors really take a lot of my time to correct. I'm currently a member with Article Underground and Article Explosion, and am satisfied thus far.
Also you may want to look into bonuses for members, real good bonuses. E.g Article Underground have announcement blogs for faster indexing by SEs as well as good instructional videos by many well known marketers.
Best regards,

Thank you all for the valuable feedback! It's always helpful to have a few opinions instead of just assuming what people want.
learn2earn,
it won't actually be a membership (perhaps in the future). This will be a package of articles covering about 6 or 8 niches. _________________ How to Make a Website
