First of all, AdSense is a great tool for increasing your revenue and my message should not deter anyone from becoming an AdSense member.
HOWEVER: Please check any webpages that have the AdSense Javascript added to them. There are times when that the webpage will NOT open for I.E. 5.5 viewers. Essentially, it will LOCK UP.
I have had two dated instances where I had to remove the AdSense ads because of this problem .. one on 7/2 and the other on 7/30-8/2.
Google acknowledged that the problem existed and has repair the problem for the second time .. Be careful and periodically check your pages.
Here is the correspondence..
To Google:
"Your script is again successfully preventing my webpages from opening up using the I.E. 5.5 browser.
We reported this some time ago and you said you had fixed the problem.
This is NOT conducive to a good business relationship to make a associates site unreadable."

Reply from Google:
"Hello Ed,
We would like to follow up with you to let you know that our engineers have resolved the problem with AdSense ads not being displayed properly. Please clear your browser cache and browse to a page with AdSense ads on it to test this out.
If you continue to experience difficulty loading AdSense ads, please let us know and we will investigate the issue further."

Reply to Google:
"Please investigate this issue further. The first thing we ALWAYS do is completely clear all stored files and the caches.
Then we shut down the browser and then restart the I.E. 5.5 ... we also ran into the problem on two other computers using the same OS's and browser versions to make sure that it is not an inherent desktop problem.
I assure you that the problem remains."

Final Google Reply as they now have fixed the problem.
"Hello Ed,
Our engineers made a fix this afternoon to resolve the issue with AdSense ads not displaying correctly.
Please let us know if the problem has gone away or you are still
experiencing this issue."

The entire point of my message is to place AdSense users on aware that they could have a problem and not know it.
One more thing .. for those Netscape users of 4.76....4.79 ... Netscape does not work with iframes and you WILL NOT see your ads .. However later versions 6.0+ work with iframes.
