Hi,

Some definitions that I found some where,

CPL - Cost per Lead. You earn commission from the merchant for every lead that you provide to the merchant. Does this imply that if the same PC was used to access the merchant many time, affiliate will only be paid once the potential customer has visited the merchant site? Also does this also implied that even if the customer purchase more products, the affiliate won't be entitled to more commissions or pay?

CPM - This refers to getting paid for impressions for putting a pop-up or banner ad on your site. Does this implies that the merchant only pay one time for putting up their ads on my site?

Thanks!

You get paid a certain amount for every 1000 (the "m" stands for "mille" - French for thousand) impressions you display. You get paid additionally for each thousand impressions.

Hope this helps,
Charlie.

You place an ad on your page and each time someone sees that page, that's an impression.

So if you have 1,000 visitors and they view an average of five pages each, you would have 5,000 impressions (assuming you place only one ad on each page).
