Post subject: affiliates with fraud activities
|
|

Hello guys
I have discovered that there are many fraud affiliates in the market who uses robots for the traffic especially for PPC. Anyone has got idea how to track them and kick off them? or is there any black listed affiliate list in the market?
Thanks!
Tom

Look for duplicate IPs.
If you are suspicious, then run the IP through Google. If it shows up on a proxy list. Lots of clicks from proxy IPs would also be indicative of fraud. _________________ Cheers,

BLACKLISTING THE affiliates is not a solution because if such concept followed there may be lot of innocent affiliates come into such list ... _________________ Tips to increase Affiliate earning |

we have dealt with MANY fraudulent affiliates as well as had many attempt to join our network who have already been termintated from other networks out there like us. a blicklist program would be an interesting idea, but it would be unfortunate for any "decent" affiliate who gets tagged in that list for a mis-understanding or wrongfully so. you just need to take measures on your end, such as IP monitoring and watch for unusually high conversion and/or CTR rates. _________________ Jonathan Lyons | Affiliate Manager

This reminds me of a landlords association in New Zealand years ago. It used to distribute a monthly list to its members that was subtly called "People we'd like to get in touch with" (meaning people who owed rent, although no one actually said that).
Anyone unfortunate enough to get on the list would have a lot of trouble finding a house to rent. _________________ Allan Gardyne
