I have just run a quick search on this topic and notice that most of you recommend hosting services that doesn't have an autoresponder. Realize that some marketer prefer to install some sort of autoresponder on their server but it's kind of stuff that I'll faint learning.

Therefore I have been searching for a solution to this and found 3 services as below:
a) pushbutton publishing
b) instantprofitscenter.com
c) ultimatemarketingcenter.com

They seem to provide both hosting and autoresponder in one place. (I know Sitesell is best, but it allows one domain to be hosted only and need to pay the lump sum). Can anyone advise on the above 3?

I'm also considering Aweber since many well known marketer recommend it, but it'll be costly to pay the hosting and autoresponder separately. If I were to use Aweber, I was thinking of e-wealthology.com that offers extremely large space. Plus many PLR and Resell Materials. Has anybody tried this?

By the way, I was wondering if the above 3 provides good ad tracking. Any idea.

The next thing that bother me is content. I have no specialty and writing would be tough. So I 'm considering PLR and found infogoround.com/home.html as a good deal. Anyone can advise me?

Thanks.

Personally, I don't prefer keeping my mailing list/autoresponder on the same server as my site, like SBI.

I'm actually moving a site away from SBI and it's been a pain to transfer my newsletter subscribers into aWeber. I wish I had just put them in aWeber to start with.

Using a service like AWeber can save a lot of headaches via the spam approach too.

If someone gets bad at your newsletter, and decides to report you as a spammer, then that could get your entire site blacklisted if you host your own newsletter service.

If you use something like AWeber, you might just get your newsletter shutdown (or just have some complaints registered). But that can be recovered from much easier than having your entire site blacklisted.

I'll second what everyone said above about aweber. And personally I believe it's way too risky to send out autoresponder emails from your own server. I spoke to a hosting company once who said they would shut me down if I received even one spam complaint. Just one. And aol makes it extremely easy for their clients to hit the "spam" button. So I'm sure it wouldn't be a good feeling getting your site shut down due to one bozo who says you spammed 'em.

So seriously consider running your autoresponder series off site. It's only 20 bucks a month and it'll give you some good peace of mind. Good luck.

Yea, the problem with that is people think that's the same as an "unsubscribe" button.

I use Kiosk.ws [http://www.wwkiosk.com] for both hosting and autoresponder. I prefer another autoresponder with some additional features for some of my lists, but the Kiosk one has one feature that I like and use: you can send out a weekly message that doesn't change; I use it for reminders to visit blogs or other websites. It goes out with information showing that they did indeed subscribe, and unsubscribe info. You can filter subscribe request urls, etc. It's worth checking out.

I use infogoround and like it a lot. I also might be able to help you with copywriting, maybe we should discuss this.

Definitely go with an Email Service Provider (ESP). If you are a small business Aweber should be more than enough to start with.

$170 per year is not expensive if you are building a business. Believe me, it will pay you handsomely. Think of it as an invesment. Smile

As to why choosing an ESP instead of using the same host is because the tasks of managing relationships with major ISPs, upgrade with the newest technology, and tons of other tasks that involve steep learning curve and time to manage.

If you are using shared account and setup an in-house autoresponder at the same time, really, you are asking for trouble.

Thanks everyone. You would be laughing at me if I say I haven't make a decision yet. But, I have spent most of my time looking into this matter. (Hosting and autoresponder).

It really bothers me. With so many options around, I just coulndn't decide. While $19.95/mth is fair, but I've 2 concerns in mind:

1) $19.95 for the first 10k subscriber only. Additional at $9.95/mth. (While I'm just starting off, having zero subsciber at the moment, I tends to worried what if indeed I manage to grow my subsciber list beyond that?)

2) I've always feel better value of $19.95 monthly for advertising / marketing. Will have a better chance on ROI, isn't it?

---------------------------
I spent many hours experimenting all those gurus that I'm subscribed to. And found 2 things in common.

1) Early gurus use autoresponder that's hosted on their own server. (arp3 or ultimateaffiliatemanager / myuam)

2) Current gurus prefers Aweber / Getresponse.

-----------------------------
I just couldn't decide. I need more info. While I'm planning my hosting with DreamHost now, I haven't yet to decide on the autoresponder to use.

PS. But the features DreamHost has to offer make me feel dubious. In my months of search, I just couldn't find any hosting that giving that much. Are they real? But one thing I don't like is that, they don't have a cPanel, but a different panel with less functions.
