Post subject: Valuing a Free ebook giveaway.

Being new to this I've written a 28 page ebook that I'm giving away as a freebie if people join my list.
I've noticed people giving values to their freeebies, how do you assign a percieved value to a giveaway? _________________ Make Music Online Yeah that's right - I said music! I'm a musician so that's my niche - what's yours? |

There is only one way I have found to give value.... I ask myself this question while writing or looking for freebie...
"is this info can be found easily? will this add more value to anyone who reads it." if yes then freebie might be useless. if you look at 2 of my newsletter(weight loss n IM, which of course you can find very easily), my freebies aren't something that you can easily find on Internet.

Don't agree... The Value of product is about 2 things
1. Content.
2. Perception.
Content is what you are offering... and perception is How your visitor who reads percieves the content...
Now lets say if you are beginner to creating sites... A good decent book on How to create SE optimized sites will have High perceptional value... but for someone who is already building sites from 2-3 years.. its value is low.
You have to target your visitors properly so that with content and Perception you can create High Value product.

I dont' agree either.
In fact this is the nonsense many fall victim to and start padding their filler-and-fluff ebook to make it longer and longer and longer... yet no value is being offered. It becomes frustrating digging through the material to realize there really is no meat to it.
In my DearEmployee report I endorse a couple of resources that I have a lot of respect for. One is a booklet by a well known internet marketer. And I state clearly (and stand by this) that one of the primary reasons it rates near the top of my list is because it's condensed but chock full of useful info for someone getting started. I believe it's only 48 pages. I respect the fact that the author was respectful of my own time by not putting a lot of airy-junk in the course just to make it look bigger.
If it's solid hard to find content and you can deliver it in 28 pages... great... you'll make a lot of friends and sales (from word of mouth).
