Hi everyone,
I'm a new member and hope I've posted this on the correct thread:
One of my absolute passions, is Internet Traffic Driving Techniques & strategies. I'm constantly researching new ways to drive traffic to my Website - as are we all I guess!
But yesterday I came across something quite different from the usual hype.
Included in the article, is an excellent idea which refers to top10 lists - and mentions David Letterman's top 10 list - I sat back and wondered - how effective would it be to get your site mentioned on THIS? Think of the traffic it could generate. . . . and in return, the income it could bring!
Anyone else got any "Different" or radical Traffic strategies?

You could write " Go to my website at blahblah.com " on your back and run around topless around the street... That would certainly be another of what you would call " "Different" or radical Traffic strategies." Lol, make sure its legal though, some countries don't allow you to run around topless. So check the local law.

You could buy the domain name;
BEST-TOP-10-LISTS.COM
And then create thousands of top 10 lists of your own for every theme on the internet. Put Google Ads on it, affiliate programs relating to that theme, wirte articles and link back to your home page and each sub page in the bio box, etc. etc.
Get people to bookmark it and make it very informative as well as humerous and you could be onto something here traffic wise.

WOW! Now that's a novel idea for someone.
I bet you someone reading this is going to run right out and buy that domain  . I wouldn't blame them, someone who know what they are doing could get a lot of traffic with an idea like that.

Well, the only problem I see with the top-10-lists is that a top-10 list today is going to be outdated tommorow. It's really a LOT of work that you have to stay on top of. I checked the domain BEST-TOP-10-LISTS.COM and it's still available, but I wouldn't buy it because too many hypans. I don't think I've ever typed a URL with hyphans directly into the browser. I guess it could be "ok" for search egnines though if you manage to rank high enough. Anyway... a pretty good idea but you need to be willing to put in thte time to always have those updated and make sure your top-10 is REALLY a top-10... not just some random bits your putting together and making top-10 yourself.

From a SEO standpoint nobody types in a URL anymore. They just click on it. By using Google Adsense and PPC companies like 7Search and SearchFeed you never have to update the top 10 list.
You just write an article about a topic, build a page paste javascript with your affiliate id numbers in it and it updates automatically based on whatever ads the PPC companies place on it.
By joining a PLR site you can get access to thousands of articles that you can rework to fit the keywords you want for that page.
