Anyone know of a good image editor that's inexpensive and adequate enough for creating a header? I don't want to fork out $650 smack a roos for Photoshop to create one header.
Thanks |

I've seen Xara recommended. I haven't tried it. It's $79. _________________ Allan Gardyne

For vector graphs you can try sodipodi: http://www.sodipodi.com/index.php3
It is free, but DO NOT expect something as good as Corel Draw |

The Photoshop Elements package is pretty good... and much cheaper than the full Photoshop package.
There is also PaintShopPro. It is a competitor of Photoshop, but much cheaper.
I have also heard of Xara, and GIMP is very well known. _________________ Eric D. Burdo

You might want to check Ebay. I saw Photshop 6 go for well under $100.00 not long ago. Elements works ok and you can do most web graphic type work on the program. _________________ If you think that putting audio on your website will be a lot of hard work and hassle then download a free 16 page special report Mastering Streaming Audio. Gimp. You should really give it a look. It's free but comes with lots of bells and whistles. Plus it enjoys great support. There are plenty of tutorials out there to help with almost whatever. If your running windows, you'll also have to install the GTK toolkit. It's easy and a serious program.
Hope this helps _________________ Cocoliso - A volunteer | Spanish Grammar Exercises |

PaintShop Pro is my editor of choice. I use that with a combination of Photoshop Elements (the cheaper, scaled-down ver of Photoshop) and the tandem take care of everything I need. _________________ Avalon

I concur about Gimp and PaintShopPro. Between these two excellent programs, I have been able to do everything I've wanted.
Here is an excellent list of even more freeware graphic editing programs:

Hope that helps! |

You have to install the ".net framework 2.0", but then you have ....
paint.net
