I've read several statements saying you can only post up to 3 times a day on Blogger or you'll be deleted due to the system thinking you're spamming.
This true?
If so, how can anyone create a good content driven blog in a respectable time frame.
For those of you who Blog, have you had problems like this? |

Posting more than once a day is a red flag for blog spamming. Put a blogger blog on your own server and I don't think you have anything to worry about.
On Blogger's blogspot, whether or not you can get away with lots of posts per day is mostly a matter of luck. I don't think blogger is the greatest place for content sites. It is categoryless, for one thing, so your posts get buried after a while.
Wordpress has categories, and you can pre-load a bunch of articles, and by setting the date ahead for each article, have one article post automatically each day. You need to use a plugin that pevents all the future posts being pinged at once to do this.
I never saw one post a day as a problem. In a month of working days you'll have 20 pages. In a year 240. Isn't that enough?

I don't think posting more than 3 a day is an automatic "I am a spammer" signal.
But it could be if your content is not truly original and yours.
Either way, I think your better off hosting your own site with WP. Then you own it, and you don't have to deal with anyone trying to shut down your blog because you post too much.

if youpost more than 3 times a day you'll get captcha'd in other words you have to enter the letters in the pretty box, I have on numerous occasions posted more then 3-5 times a day and thats the only problem I have now. I do how ever agree with hosting your own. WP is a good one for sure.

I wish I had an answer for you on this but if you blog representable material there shouldnt be any reason to worry about getting shut down.I can see where you would worry though.  |

I agree. I have been using blogger for 3 years and post as often as I like with no problems.

For content rich blogs I do prefer WordPress, I use Blogger for business updates more than anything or breaking industry news, especially with my clients. I have never been flagged for too many posts, but I cant remember any instance where I would have posted more than 3 posts in a given day on any blog I maintain. If i require that much information to be disseminated I will put bullet points in a major blog heading, send out an email newsletter or update the website.

use wordpress. i used to use blogger.com but switched everything over to wordpress after awhile. just easier to use and set up when you have your own domains and servers.
