Hello All,
I find that free advertising can be very helpful when you are starting out.
There are lots of ways you can do this:
In your email sig file
Free Classifieds
using link exchanges
Viral (giving a free ebook away with your links in)
Or just insert "free advertising" in Google
and find lots more!

| I think quality inbound links can bring more significant results than reciprocal link exchange, I heard google is also changing view on reciprocal links. |

Yes, Google gives a lot more credit for one-way links as opposed to reciprocal links. Inbound links are a better indicator of popularity on the web.
Of course, one of the best ways to get inbound links is to submit articles related to your niche and be sure you leave a well written sig file.

Really...posting to classifieds is a waste of time. Forum posting, writing articles, getting listed in directories, and ezine marketing are all excellent methods of site promotion.  |

Not really. So long as you don't overdo it and post only on relevant sections, ie, marketplace or buy and sell sections of forums

You can pay a link building company in India to post your links to directories, blogs etc. for next to nothing. It's well worth the money.

It can be. Depends on how you go about it.
Your signature alone can be a incredibly powerful traffic generator (if you go about it the right way), but there is a few other simple but great ways of doing it.
TacticalForums [URL deleted - Moderator] gives you some brilliant ideas. As a matter of fact, I use that exact concept to generate 100s off of forums every day!

SucccessMatters, Be careful when accepting advice on how to promote stuff on forums. If you ignore forum guidelines you're likely to be banned from forums. Annoying people is a short-term way of generating revenue.
On this forum, the only place for affiliate links and redirects is in your forum signature.
