Hello, firstly,
Even though ive heard it everywhere can you earn a living off affiliate programs.

My website www.p2p-archive.com get about 2000-3000 hits a day, can i earn a living off it , and if so how much just an estimate, i mean 10quid, 100quid, thousand quid ?

Last simple question, can you give me say 3 affiliate programs that actually work, and would be ebst for me in your opinion.

Sorry for sounding dumb, your thanks
Linda

Linda, it says your site has exceeded your monthly allotment so I can't give you any opinion on programs specific to your site.

One thing I can recommend, is that you get a host that can handle the traffic you do have. They throttle your bandwidth too much, and it wouldn't surprise me if they have overload server problems, which means your site may be out of action on a regular basis.

I can't get to your website ... I think you have burst your bandwidth. Debs's right, you should get a hosting that can support your traffic.

Then just do Adsense ... Just an example ... I have a site that has about 3000 unique visitors a month. Together with CJ, I get around $500 per month.

I think having 2000 - 3000 hits is far more than my website. You should be able to earn more than me with Adsense. Good luck.

Kidino, you need to remove the amount you earn from Adsense, it violates the TOS of Adsense, which subjects you to possible termination, but it puts Allan in a bad spot too for his account.

Hello Linda.

As the others have said, get that web hosting sorted out ASAP. I can't think of a much worse impression to be giving a new visitor. Even a crashed server would be better.

Let us know when it's up and running, and we'll take a look.

Oh, ye of little faith...

In the case of (everyone's favourite) "internet marketing", most of those testimonials are from "friends". The webmaster doesn't have to make them up himself... he just hands out review copies to super(ish) affiliates.

I think they call it networking. Rolling Eyes

That's why you need to find people you can trust and ignore the rest.

Just my opinion,
Charlie.

P.S. If you are looking for advice about buying a product (with an affiliate program) or joining a two tier program on a forum, here's an idea I got from Paul Myers (who used to moderate Anthony Blake's forum)...

Say in the post that you have already been referred by an affiliate and that is the link you will be buying through, but "has anyone got any opinions?"

Look at the difference in the replies you get...

When I first became involved in affiliate programs, I was shocked to learn how many visitors you need to make decent money. It's just SO important to learn about ways to attract LOTS of people to your site.

However, first you need to make sure you understand the jargon. You need to know how many people are actually seeing your site. If you have nine graphics on a page and some words, you'll get 10 "hits" every time only ONE person visits that page.

Here's how I answer a similar question in my FAQ Help page -
http://www.AssociatePrograms.com/search/faq.shtml

I have 5,000 visitors a month to my site. How much money can I make?

If you have 5,000 visitors and on average they visit two pages, and you have three banners or affiliate text links per page that gives you 30,000 impressions a month. At $5 CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) you would make $150 a month. If each product was a very good one, perfectly suited for your site, you might achieve $5 CPM, especially if you add well written content, such as a personal endorsement. If the products don't suit your site quite as well, you might achieve $1 CPM, earning you $30 a month. Add a newsletter to the mix and capture email addresses. That way, you can sell to those same people over and over again.

(End of quote)

If you choose affiliate programs that pay lifetime or residual income, such as the ones reviewed at http://www.LifetimeCommissions.com , you can increase your commissions further by being paid more than once for each sale achieved.

The results achieved by affiliates vary enormously.

Which programs are the best ones? Probably ones with very good products in which you already have a genuine interest, so that you can easily review the products in an interesting, authoritative way, that sounds genuine and will persuade people to buy. If you do that, and put people in a buying frame of mind BEFORE they've visited the merchant, you can boost your sales tremendously.

Check my signature for my favorite affiliate program. I love promoting this because it's so darn useful.

thanks for your responce, really appreciate that, i will do so yes, so what do you make of my site? i am definatly using clickbanks, and keeping google adsense, the 5 pillar with site build it also interests me. The reason i couldnt believe it at first, i mean you selling other poeples products and making a lot of money perhaps thousands if your lucky and do it well, just sounded too good to be true, i will start work on the shop section soon, ill post it when its complete,
