Post subject: Commission Question
|
|
|
I read their affilate offers and it says:
Casino currently follows an extremely high commission structure of up to 40% Revenue-Share in the first tier, 10% of affiliate income on the 2nd tier, and 5% of your sub-referred affiliate income on the 3rd tier - making this a particularly attractive Affiliate option and one that prides itself on timely and convenient payments.
Does this good offer? This commission cusfused me. I always perfer to use % of commission but not sure about tier question.
I appreciate for help. |

This sounds to me like a three tier affiliate program...
I think they mean you will get up to 40% of what people spend through your link, 10% of what people spend through the links of people you referred (tier 2) and 5% of what people spend through the links of people referred by the people referred by you (tier 3).
Hope that's clear.
Sounds good, but look at the tracking they are using and don't rely on much from the 10% and 5% levels. Concentrate on making "sales" yourself.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I think this actually means that you will get 10% of the commission generated by second tier affiliates and 5% of the commission generated by 3rd tier affiliates, NOT 10% of the sales made by second tier affiliates etc.
More simply, you'll get up to 40% on the first tier, 4% on the second tier and 5% of 4% on the 3rd tier (my maths is lousy).
As Charlie says, don't rely on getting much from the 2nd and 3rd tiers. You should also check exactly what "up to 40%" means. If it's not spelled out in the affiliate information on the site it would be best if you emailed and asked for further information. _________________ Glennys Faulds

Oops, I think you might be right. (I thought I was good at spotting crafty clauses by now.)

Yes, up to does leave things somewhat "open"...
I could offer up to 100% (5% most of the time and 100% during solar eclipses on my birthday) and still claim legality.
Thanks for putting me right,
Charlie.
P.S. If this is your boss's idea of a holiday (for you), I'm glad he isn't mine. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
