Sure there are dozen of threads about where to submit your articles, but none (I didn't see any) explaining the process of submitting articles.

Here's how I do it. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please post:

1. Write the article in "NoteTab Light"
2. Above the article in notetab I write description, keywords, etc. for pasting in submission sites (instead of writing the info manually everytime)
3. I find a list of article submittion sites.
4. I make an Excel document named "Article Submission Sites"
5. I make an Excel document named "Article Submissions"
6. In Article Submission Sites I set it up like the following

Website: *Website Name*
URL: *URL to the article submission page*
Username: *my username/password to the site*
Rules: *rules/guidelines to submitting to the site*
Name: *name of the website owner*
Email: *e-mail of the website owner*

and I do that for every article site.

7. In "Article Submissions" I set up two columns. Website and Article
Under website I list all the website urls from my "article submission sites" document, and under articles I write the article title, and under it, I put the status of that article to each website

8. Whenever I find a new website I add it to the documents.

That's how I do it. It does take time. A lot of time for that matter. I'm thinking I should switch to an auto submission, but not sure yet.

Mike,

That's an organized way of going about that!
This may or may not work for you, but I found this neat little program that I give away at my site, it's called the Writer's Database.

There's a little more information about it here...

The author is working on an update to it right now. Should be out soon.

that's pretty close to how I have my excel set up. I just feel that I'm wasting a lot of time doing all this tracking, when there's auto submission program/web based software out there that'll do it automatically.

Do the auto submitters keep track of the sites you've submitted each article to?

I'm not really sure, I haven't used one. I was really referring to submitting the articles, not keeping track.
