Also, although a challenge, I will always try to block out the fact a site is made from "sitesell" when deciding who goes or does not go in my category at DMOZ.
Remember though, I am a human being. Mr. Evoy doesn't seem to understand that. If I were in his position, I wouldn't take personal "shots" on a public msg board, but then again, one might want to consider that when considering his highly limited product.
Again, my position is his product has severe limitations for people who "catch on quick". It may or may not be an ideal product for slow learners though.
As an editor though, I'm looking for good, seasoned content. Content most newbies can't show me. Most newbies are looking to make a buck, not a mark. If you know what I mean. And that opinion is widespread among DMOZ editors, well, the long-standing ones that is.
I'll tell you one thing, most of them don't make any money on the net, hence a sense of jealousy of the ones who do, or may. Again, it's a HUMAN set of editors.
Hope that gives some insight to all. Hope and pray the next time another "sitesell" site comes to my e-mail box, I can be unbiased in my editing, ignoring the personal attacks from the owner of that product himself.

I don't believe you. Does anyone here?
Given what would happen to an employee of Ken's if they lied and got caught, yeah. I tend to believe her.
Saying you don't believe someone is reasonable, SH. However, pushing it as you did in this post (direct implication that the person to whom you were replying was telling a deliberate untruth) and openly calling someone a liar as you did in another post is questionable at best.
You provide no proof of the inaccuracy of the comments you claim to be untrue.
You called an OPINION a lie.
And then you shovel out a bunch of unsubstantiated opinions and accusations and expect to be taken seriously?

Anecdotal information is sometimes useful, and this story is appropriate to the situation.
Recently we had a disgruntled customer who sent us an email detailing that fact. Seems we had sent the wrong size item or some such. . .anyway that first email somehow got sent to "junk mail", (yeah, Outlook), to continue. . . this meant every other email he sent went the same place without it ever hitting the inbox.
Now this is a fellow who doesn't believe in picking up the phone, figured if you wouldn't answer emails, you'd probably get a recorder, and. . .when he finally did call, yup, he got the recorder. So by the time I play back the message, whew! it was ugly. . .
The moral to the story? ALWAYS check your junk email before deleting.
And yes, customer is okay now. However it would have been so much easier if we hadn't misfiled the first email.

Good advice. Thanks.
Here's more anecdotal evidence on weird things that can happen with email...
I'm using Eudora 5.1. I recently set up a new email address and wondered why I wasn't receiving emails sent to it. It turned out Eudora was filtering all those emails into the Trash - but when I laboriously checked all the filters I have set up, I could see no reason at all why any filter should catch those emails.
So I scrapped all my dozens of filters and started again. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I've never seen this "bash" since Ken E-POSProduct showed up himself. My bet, this board is a bit more biased than I thought. Either that, or we have some serious "followers" here. I have seen that myself, as I introduced the word "belated", and now I've seen it 4 or 5 times on this board alone. Most have never heard of the word, nor its reference or definition.
I'll go on and help people who need it.
This is not a public board. I'll still try to be objective in my acceptance or denial of all SBI sites. Life is challanging. This should be one of the biggest challenges of all, to be unbiased, as I am human. Also, I will try not to mention any of this in the e-mails/IM's/Phone Calls, etc. to any other editors, even though some of us are tight as a whistle friends. I am human though, but I'll try to remain inhuman.
Good Luck SBI'ers. Hope you're not "anonymous" when submitting.

Veiled threats. Why does this not surprise me?
I have a sneaking suspicion you're as empty as your 'nym.
You make grandiose claims, yet hide your identity, thus preventing anyone from checking you out. Isn't that very similar to what you accused Ken of, when you suggested that he had some obligation to open his books to the public?
YOU are the one making accusations, yet you seem unwilling to provide your own credentials.
Pretty much what one should expect from a "nobody."
I am surprised that anyone here is giving you any credence at all, SH.
SH. Hmmm... Another pair of words comes to mind to fit those initials. <g>
As I've stated many times, Jealousy will keep you right in the seat your in right now.
Just because you want to know, yet are unable to know, you resort to jealousy.
Typical newbie. Hey, you're a great candidate for SBI. Buy it, and hey, buy a 299 Yahoo listing too.
Listen to everything they tell you, young newbie. When they are done with you, I have some bridges I'd like you to finance, please.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
The last thing Paul needs (or probably wants) is me chiming in on his behalf, but if you think he's a newbie, then you are as clueless as you are anonymous.
Yup, it's always the anonymous posters who have the most to say with the least relevance or credibility. It's one thing to keep shooting yourself in the foot, but forgetting to take it out of your mouth first...

I've been following this thread and watching a lot of Scrubs (downloaded) ... here's an unrelated post ... SpamHater reminds me of Dr. Cox, the good scarcastic doctor.

You little trolls were easy to draw from under your rocks.
Actually, SH, the "troll" in this thread was you. I'm assuming here that you know the meaning of the word in traditional Usenet terms? You being such a remarkably erudite critter and all. (There's a high-falootin' word fer ya... "critter.")
As far as me being jealous or a "newbie," you are further revealing your cluelessness.
I've been around this game for a while. Done business on the net since '95. I knew Allan before associateprograms.com was registered. My copy has sold many millions of dollars worth of products for my clients, which group includes people like Jay Abraham.
I ran the first discussion list on the net for micropreneurs, and published the first email business digest. Interestingly, I was also the first major email publisher to make anti-spam issues a focus of my editorial copy. (Funny you don't recognise the name, given your 'nym...)
And yet, I have never felt the need to post anonymously, or push around unsupported allegations. I suppose I'll have to catch up on that kind of trick if I want to be seen as anything but a newbie follower, huh?

According to Dictionary.com, a troll is...
"A supernatural creature of Scandinavian folklore, variously portrayed as a friendly or mischievous dwarf or as a giant, that lives in caves, in the hills, or under bridges."
Having had the pleasure of meeting Paul, I can attest to the fact that he is neither a dwarf nor a giant, but he is quite often both friendly and mischievous - as long as you're not a spammer.
"A supernatural creature of Scandinavian folklore, variously portrayed as a friendly or mischievous dwarf or as a giant, that lives in caves, in the hills, or under bridges."
Ah. I doubt they've got the meaning I used, which derives from the verb relating to fishing. Loosely: To toss bait into the water and drag it behind the boat to see what will rise to it. It became quite common in Usenet to refer to people who baited discussions with provocative comments, with no purpose other than to create dissent and/or controversy, as "trolls."
SH is a classic "troll" in that sense.

And what do you mean, I'm not a giant???
What? You mean I'm NOT a giant?
Damn. Time to turn in my membership card. And that thing was such a chick magnet!

I'm no "Paul Myers Butt-Boy" by any stretch of the imagination. He and I have very different personal styles, and we have clashed on occasion on different forums. But there are few people online for whom I have more respect as a businessman, marketer and original thinker than Paul. At least he has the integrity and the balls to sign his name to his posts.
You, on the other hand, don't have the guts to sign your name to your foolish posts. You are like the Wizard of Oz, nothing more than a scared little man hiding behind a curtain of anonymity, trying to dazzle everyone with nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
If you have something further to say, at least be man enough to sign your name to it. Although, come to think of it, I think Paul's assessment of the real meaning of "SH" is all we need to know.
