Post subject: Drop Ship
|
|
|
I know this isn't strictly affiliate but its a close relative.
I have not got into any drop ship programs to date even though I was offered good one.
The reason is that I am concerned about the legal side of things How does the consumer law in the US view a drop ship retailer?
In New Zealand the retailer is responsible for all consumer/purchaser complaints. Under a drop ship situation I would be the retailer. This is what put me right off the idea. When I was discussing this with a merchant I asked to see the contract but he said there wasn't one-that scared me right away. He said they would deal with purchaser issues-but with no contract I was not happy that they would do so.
So what do you think? |

Sorry that was from me. I hadn't realised I wasn't logged in-I just had a cleanout and lost the cookie.

You are also the retailer in the US and responsible for customer service and complaints.

You are responsible in the US as well..
In many cases, you can easily forward the complaint to the manufacturer of the product. But you still need to deal with the customer... _________________ Eric D. Burdo

I thought so and in that case I will continue to steer clear of it. Maybe its my legal training but to me it seems risky, especially with no written contract setting out the respective liabilities. _________________ How to sleep well every night |
