Post subject: Good responsive solo ads
|
|
|
Hi!
I am looking for a few places to run good responsive solo ads. I have decided my marketing time would be better spent spending say $30 - $40 a month on 2 or 3 good solo ad runs and following up leads than spending hours using hitexchanges etc.

Start with Google Adwords. The main reason is that it's the best way I know of quickly testing ads (even if you don't make money at the same time). When you know what works, you can roll out these to all sorts of places - online and off.

I don't blame you.
Cheers,

In the past I have spent hundreds on Google adwords for various businesses and find them a complete waste of time and money. Yes I got teh traffic but no sales and costs a fortune. I tried fine tuning ads, using splash pages, did lots of research into keywords....
No I want good ezines to advertise in or good high quality, high traffic work at home websites to advertise directly on.

Hello again Rachel.

As you got plenty of traffic, but it just didn't convert, then it looks like you either need to introduce a qualifier to the add, or more likely the landing page and subsequent follow up just wasn't up to the job.

Making the transition from the add to the landing page is a critical time. It needs to flow naturally.

The point is, there are two aspects to this. Writing a good ad that gets the click is at best half the story...
I put it to you that if you couldn't make any sales from Adwords traffic (assuming it was reasonably targeted), you are not going to do justice to ezine ads without tightening up the landing page.
That's why I suggested Adwords as a testing ground. OK, so you can write ads that get clicks. But Adwords can test the effectiveness of two landing pages from the same ad, also.
One thing to bear in mind...
You may well find it best to advertise just on Google - NOT via Adsense on other people's sites. Some clicks are more equal than others.
Personally, I love Adsense as a publisher, but generally steer well clear as an advertiser.
If you get an offer that works you can test it via Adsense later and see if the extra traffic pays for itself or not.
Hope this helps,
Charlie.
P.S. You might like to Google for Perry Marshall or Andrew Goodman for Adwords wisdom.
Also, Ralph Wilson has an excellent report on landing pages.
Lastly, for general direct marketing and maximising visitor value take a look at Jonathan Mizel's Marketing Letter. The archives are golden. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I did try different landing pages and also landing pages that work well for solo ads and other advertising I do. The bottom line is thousands use google to surf and browse around but most people are not serious buyers and are not that interested in purchasing...they are just crious browsers. I tried ads with prices in to qualify visitors and ads without and so on..
I am no expert copywriter but my ads work well for other things as do the splash pages I have created and the company splash pages.
As for ebooks and reports telling you how to make thousands from Google etc, I would advise people to stay well clear. I have read many of these.

I don't believe it's anything like that straight forward. How do you explain the people who consistently profit from Adwords in just about every niche under the sun? And I'm talking about tangible results, not branding.

I haven't read many - just the ones I mentioned. These work very well for me.
Are you familiar with those authors I mentioned?
They come VERY highly regarded. I can't remember ever reading a word of hype from any of them. And that's saying something.
If you don't want to use Adwords yourself, fair enough. But please don't try and rubbish what is arguably the most successful phenomena in the history of direct marketing just beacuase it didn't work for you.
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I've had success with solo-ads.com and their prices are pretty reasonable too. Also globalsafelist.com The best thing to do to find really good ezines is just to test the smallest package to see what kind of result you get, then go larger. Mainly see what kind of traffic you get and how many leads. _________________ Quickly and Easily Generate

One of the most powerful methods to get massive traffic trends is to buy solo e-mail advertising. To find success with solo ads, you must make sure that you keep it real. This applies to ensure that your ads are high quality in every way possible. _________________ hp coupon codes |
