Post subject: Question on CTR

Click Through Rate,
You guys are great, so I wanted to clarify this with you.
If you own a site using Adsense ads, I assume CTR is the the % of views in which someone clicks an ad.
Do people running PPC campaigns ever use the CTR term differently, as in if someone entered their site by clicking an ad somewhere that they actually wind up purchasing something? Or if not, what is that called? |

If someone buys, you're talking about a conversion rate (visitor-to-sales ratio). _________________ Allan Gardyne

Yes, or I was thinking later it might be called a "turn" rate, as in how many visitors (by way of the ad) were you able to "turn" to sales.
So I will take it that CTR is never meant to refer to turn or conversion rates. |
