It's my joint favourite - with Andrew Goodman's. Google for the details.
Both are excellent, but very different in style.
Andrew G's is more wordy and perhaps a bit more "academic" in tone, though still very practical.
With Adwords the devil's definitely in the detail. I thought an expert second opinion was in order, and I'm very pleased with both.
I haven't read GoogleCash but I believe it's just about promoting affiliate programs via Adwords. Also, I understand it's a bit outdated now. That said, Perry M did mention it favourably, I read.
Hope this helps,
Charlie.
P.S. Grouping and testing may well be the difference between success and failure - especially with affiliate programs, since the margins can be tight.
I'd suggest a good book will more than pay for itself quickly. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I purchased Perry Marshall's book over a year ago and found it to have useful information. This book focuses on the inner workings of Google Adwords and provides some interesting points to ponder. It has helped me to develop my Adwords campaigns for my online store.
I also recently purchased Google Cash. I consider this to be at a beginner level, and it focuses primarily on affiliate programs though Adwords (without a web site), although there are a few useful tidbits also about Google ads and campaigns. I did notice that some of the information was out of date, so don't expect to find cutting edge facts there.
Overall, I believe in any and all education if you are serious about learning about Google. Sometimes the smallest tidbit can be invaluable.

Bluemind,
I own many books on Adwords but Perry Marshall's Definitive guide is I.M.H.O. the best Adwords book ever written. P.M. service dep. is excellent and, of course, you will get the new "Updated Version". A few months ago one of my mails to P.M. support center got lost, when I asked about it they hurried a reply apologizing AND give me not only the update but also the Video version update as a bonus. Nice service eh!
Read a good article on the Def. Guide in my blog, follow the link in my sig.
Adwords has always fascinated me and I love learning more and experiment with it, be carefull though, it can become costly so a good R.O.I. is mandatory otherwise you'll loose money fast.
Regards,
C.F. |
