As my handle indicates, I'm a marketing major. I'm in my first year of school and loving it. As part of a large project I'm working on I need to develop a report on a major business. While my classmates are focused on Ford and Pepsi, for instance, I'm concentrating on amazon.com, because I think they have a rather unique business.

However, I'm coming up short on some numbers (and time) I need in order to complete my report. Could someone PLEASE offer me some help/information about amazon.com. Here's what I need, in order to develop that proposal, I must have numbers illustrating what percentage of amazon.com's annual or quarterly profits are derived from its affiliates. So, for instance, I know that this quarter they expect to earn 1.9B, but how much of that come from sales generated by their affiliate programs?

Any help or information offered would be greatly appreciated. I'll even cite you, if you'd like, in my final paper. Feel free to contact me at: <jodey_c_king@hotmail.com>. Again, my sincere thanks for any help or information you can supply. Hope to hear from someone soon.

I'd contact Amazon and ask them. If you convince them you are trying to give them some free publicity (rather than indulging in a little industrial espionage) they'll probably be flattered enough to help you. Smile

All the best,
Charlie.

Hey, Jodey -

Do a serach for Amazon's financials online. Depending on how it's structured, some or all of the info could be public record, just waiting for you to find it.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the Game ...

God Bless you, and Happy Holidays -
