Has anyone implemeted intellitxt from Vibrant media and dynamicontext from Contera. I was thinking of using these alternatives for my forum in the future. These ads bascially are displayed as links within your content...Has anyone had success with them? Where can they be best made use of? Blogs, Forums..
I did a search but found only a few posts discussing these..Any knowledge welcome

I haven't used their ads, but I had traded links with someone who later decided to implement them on their pages. So the text of my website description became links out to other websites. I was NOT okay with this, and wrote and told them to take the ad links off my listing or else take it down. They are now looking into creating a links page that doesn't have these ads on them, since you apparently can't pick and choose which areas of a page will have the ads.

My point is that you might turn off users of a forum that uses these ads. The whole premise of these ads is exploitive (whether you think this is justified or not, that's the truth of it). And many people could feel uncomfortable about having their contributions exploited that way.

Also, as a viewer I found that links page frustrating because you couldn't tell which were in-house links (in the same website) and which were outbound links...and there were a LOT of these links. It had the effect on me of inhibiting my curiosity about their site for fear I'd get hijacked out of there by clicking on a link.

Just something to consider.
