my site is linked to almost 1000 pages . but yahoo shows it is linked to about 100 pages all the web shows its 150 . and google says its zero ? . why does google shows my blog link popularity zero ? .

Your blog appears to have been started on Nov 2005. That's pretty too early to be indexed in Google. Also, if you are being linked from 1000 sites, there is no guarantee that all the 1000 sites will show as backlinks on search engines. Search engine consider many factors into consideration before counting backlinks of sites, like their reputability.

| not sure where you think those 1000 links are coming from - I can only find 5 and 4 of those are from forum signatures, so a zero from Google is what I would expect. |

i have contributed about 200 posts on this forum and i use 3 more forums . so i think it should be atleast 1000 posts i contributed on internet i dont know why its showing 3 or 4

| because forum signature are seen as spam attempts to get links by search engines. you need real links. |

This is incorrect now. Google now shows a random set of backlinks and there are no PR guidelines as to which links are shown. Google did limit the backlinks shown in a link search to PR 4 links at one time, but that stopped over a year ago.

Yes - they stopped the PR4 thing almost 2 years ago!!!! that ancient times in term of SEO.
It wasn't actually PR4 either --- it appeared to be a very high PR3 was the criteria, as some PR3's did make it in back then. |

ok how it could me be a spam attempt . i contribute limitied posts like 1 2 or 4 a day and my sig files are same as yours or someone else .. just cant understand that y u named it as spam

I think spam isn't the best word to describe it. But can you understand why Google would disregard forum signature links if they can detect them? The number of links you get in your own forum signature is completely irrelevant to the quality of the site you're linking too.

the backward links to my site in google come majorly from Associateprograms, even though i've 20-30 quality links from pr 3-6 sites in my topic...guess i have to wait
