Post subject: Solution needed for sales of e-book, need two tier solution!
|
|
|
Good day!
I'm new to the group, but have heard great things about the group from Sharon Fling and she suggested I come here, get involved, help others and perhaps you'll have a solution to my need for today.
I have an e-book, have clients who want to sell it, two tier.
BUT...............
Clickbank is not 2 tier.. or is there a solution there? I am happy to pay 7.19 percent and $1.00 per transaction... but how do I set it up two tier?
Commission junction is not right...
IBill charges 15%... that's a lot.
What can I do? I want to have the company to work EXACTLY like clickbank, but allow me to have my client set up an affiliate too!
Ideas please?
I will go look at the other posts. I do spend a lot of time helping other people so please understand I'm not looking to be selfish just getting my needs...
Thanks!

Hi, John, and welcome to this site. It's a very helpful place, with a lot of good people !
I use SBI! for my site, and I'm sitting right now writing on the first of an eBook series. I am waiting for SBI!' eGoods module with affiliate services. Until it shows up, I guess I will use ClickBank. I would appreciate having an affiliate program, but for now, I concentrate on my eBook's content, and preparing for sales after I have built my products.
Best wishes; guess we'll be talking more later. Once more: Welcome ! |

Yes, the new SBI Ecommerce module is going to have a two tier affiliate program built in so it would be perfect. However, it is due out in a few months (and is already a year or so late). Using clickbank in the meantime may be ideal. The only thing ... is SBI, with the E module, is a complete package, you can't get just the E module with 2 tier aff program, without the SBI package as well.
I think the cost of the E module was going to be about $100 US more than the standard SBI package, that's an annual fee. The SBI standard is undergoing price testing now, with base pricing over the last few years at $299. Ken indicated he expects the new price for SBI standard to be about $399, but won't know until price testing is complete.

Post subject: Two Tier....

Hi John!
While two tier might be a good idea, I as an affiliate would prefer if
you use an affiliate merchant who is reliable!
I recommend you to go with Clickbank and use their marketplace and their affiliate
network. If you can afford it you could switch anytime to your own
merchant account a use an affiliate software to run a two tier affiliate
program.
But first follow the leader.... Clickbank!
All the best

You can't run a public 2 tier program with ClickBank. However, if you only need a second tier for a small number of "partners", you could set up a separate (but identical) product for each partner.
This would only be one tier, too, but you would know that all affiliate sales would have come from that partner. You could then manually pay them their second tier commissions on all sales made through that account.
Hope this helps,
Charlie.
P.S.

iBill offer recurring billing - which is much more demanding when it comes to tracking affiliates, cancellations and refunds. Hence their higher charges.
You don't need all that for commissions on one-off sales. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Post subject: Many ideas came up.. and the results are..

Hello Everyone.
Thank you for your ideas. I believe the best solution for me is... ALL of the above!
I plan to:
1. Still use Clickbank to resell my book because of the ease of setup and the fact that Clickbank has thousands of affiliates ready to sell my book.
2. I am going to set up my own merchant account so that I have flexibility to set up a 2 tier reseller program. Lower cost per transaction and flexiblity to use different gateways and storefronts for other products, such as 1automationwiz.com.
3. Join clixgalore.com as they have a 2 tier program that will allow me to offer a 2 tier program. In addition, like Clickbank, they have thousands of resellers who will want to sell my book.
4. Wait for SBI to offer a 2 tier affiliate program so I can use their services.
Thank you for all your ideas. I will go to the other boards now, see if I can help someone!
Best regards, John Davin |
