Post subject: List of good affiliate programs
|

|
First of all, I want to say HELLO , since I'm new at this forum. I have spent some hours now to read a lot of the threads, and it seems to me, that there are tousands of aff programs out there. So I asked myself, is there somewhere a directory, that leads me to good and trusty affiliate programs? |

akany,
There are a ton of lists of affiliate programs, but I wouldn't say there are many that restrict themselves to "good and trusty" affiliate programs. Most affiliate directories are more concerned with having a large volume of programs listed, which you can pick through trying to find the rare gems.
This is not to say that these directories can't be useful. If you have some ideas about what you want, particularly what industry you are interested in, these directories can really help you narrow the field for further research. What you're really looking for is a directory that includes some detailed information about the program. Too many of these sites simply include a paragraph about the programs they list, and often these paragraphs were written by the creator of the affiliate program!
A good listing should tell you (very briefly!) about the product and the compensation plan. Does the company offer tracking and reporting information to affiliates? If you contact support, how long does it take to get a response? Is there a minimum payout amount you have to reach? How long do the program's cookies last?
You also don't want to get hit with a ton of useless information, either. Marketing hype just wastes your time. (AssociatePrograms.com does a nice job of including only the most valueable information in their listings.)
DISCLAIMER: Since I actually run one, my opinion on what is important in an affiliate directory is probably skewed.
My suggestion on finding a good directory would be to hit Yahoo or Google and start doing some searching. "affiliate directory" and "work at home guide" should turn up a lot of results. To really focus your search, try entering in both!
Good luck!

We offer an affiliate directory at our site and with our stats, the best performing programs that visitors seem to like are ppc search engines. This is most likely to be because many of them offer a low minimum where they pay montly or sooner. Many of them also pay between 70% - 90% of their bidded amounts. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs
