I have integrated a bookmark and "make us your homepage" option on the site im developing. Obviously it depends on content and quality but how do you find these two options work for you guys?

Hi Dave,

I think you answered your own question.

Hi Jim,

Erm thanks for that ........ I think.

Let me re-phrase it. If the content and quality is good then do people click? Or would the space be better used for some other item?

I wonder if there is there anyway you can track that? I haven't the slightest idea, but someone here on the forum might know. If you can track it and you get good results, keep it. If not, use the "web real estate" for something more profitable.

There is also the people factor.

Some folks bookmark, some do not. Some use a social bookmarking tool (like del.icio.us). If your running a blog type site, or something with more of a geek following, then you can add some "add to technorati" and "add to del.icio.us" type links as well.

I almost never bookmark. The site has to be extremely useful and have content added all the time before it gets a spot in my bookmarks.

Shopping sites never get there.
