hi,
If we publish the articles from the article site... will it work for search engines..... And how effective is if we write article and send to those sites... what if i dont give a link at the bottom... I am asking this because i want to publish my articles with them and if they are not going to give a link to me.... No fun then

Think of all the 'top N ways to increase your SEO' type of articles. They seem to spread like wildfire and are certainly not unique.

I don't know if this works. I am new regarding publishing articles. Has anybody more experience in that area? I also would like to know if it really works or if it is just another hype.

In my experience article writing is one of the best means of promotion. Articles are picked up by many blog-owners and webmasters and posted on their sites giving a viral effect. The link given in the resource box provides multiple back links for search engines as the article is published on various webpages.
My articles are published on so many sites that I am not aware of them. This is true of anyone who writes with some regularity. Now I have set up a Google alert with my name and most of the times I get an alert when my article is posted somewhere. In many cases this is how I come to know some of the places where articles are published. I have been writing for ezines since last 1.5 years and my initial articles are still being republished.
For wider promotion of your article you can consider submitting it to as many many directories as you can. Articles give the author an identity, a recognition as an expert in the field. This itself is valuable for long term prosperity of your e-business.
I might just add that writing articles is one of the easiest things you can do once you get started.

Sanjay is right. You never know where your article may end up, bringing you lots of potentail customers. As long as you write good, clear articles, and include a link to your site, you'll get traffic from writing articles and submitting them.
Lots of webmasters have content sites that they use to earn money with Google Adsense, and they're always looking for fresh content to put on their sites or blogs.

publishing articles in article directories hav lost a little bit of its charm. Though You might see link backs to your site.. This might not effect your rankings in google(artificially inflating rankings)... But Yahoo n MSN does respond to it..
If you are submitting articles do 3 things
1. Do no put the same article on your site.
2. Link back to 4-5 related articles in your article which you'll be going to publish. If you write 800-1000 word article 4 links can be embedded in your article easily..
These days I am writing long long articles(some in 2 parts)... wiht them I m sseeing good results... rather than submitting 300-500 words article..

I agree with sanjay.
Submitting good useful new articles to as many sites have a measurable effect. I know from experience. One must also ensue to submit regularly. That way the articles get picked up and republished in all sorts of ways.
Content page has to be in great shape as well, otherwise the whole effort will be wasted.
Anyway I bought a submitting software from [Affiliate link deleted. Admin.] to submit to more sites in the future with less hassle, after submitting manually for a long tome with very good results. |

If you are a recipient of any ezines, you might also try contacting the editors. If you have relevant articles to the subject topic of the ezine, they might be willing to publish your article. I have done this quite a few times. You can even do a google search for ezine editors, and try to get your article out there that way.
If you want to get broad submission of your articles, check out articlemarketer and isnare. I believe they are the 2 big ones. They will take your article and submit it to many online article directories, groups, etc. These services arent free, but if you want exposure, its one way to get it.

Yes, you need a link for it to work - if they're not going to give you a link and not paying you either - tell them to get lost.
I've done a few articles now, for one of my sites. You need to be patient, but if people start using your articles and put them on a high quality site it is v effective - especially if the site is a topic related to yours. I got an email the other day from a site asking if they could use my article. When I checked them out, their site had a high pr and millions of page views per day. Definitely worth it.

I have been writing articles for about 2 months now and it has made a huge difference to my traffic. I have done about 40 articles and it has accounted for well over 100 backlinks. I use SEOelite and when I analyze my backlinks it shows all the sites that have posted my links. An editor of a magazine also saw one of my articles and contacted me to write for his magazine. They pay $.30 a word. My point is, the exposure can be very beneficial in many ways.

I can echo what others have said about the effectiveness of publishing my articles on article directories. Its one of my most effective strategies for generating traffic.

I publish Free Reprint Articles from the article directories on a number of my sites and on one of them Adsense revenue from these article pages accounts for 15% of income for the site.
I also use Free Reprint Articles as supplemental content for a number of successful blogs.
So the publishing of Free Reprint Articles is an important element of content on my sites.
I have recently launched an article directory specialising in articles about dogs and puppies, so I am interested to see how things happen from the other side of the article directory.

- about what kind of topics do you write, own experiences?
How many articles per month would be effective?

Runner - I would say just right as many as you are able. Try to keep the quality reasonable decent, as you do want people to look at your article in the article directory and put it on their site - hopefully a good site, with relevant content. There's many article directories - eg: www.articlecity.com and www.ideamarketers.com - the best thing is to do a search for free articles.
Keep a list, so your remember what you've submitted where. As for the writing, if you have no experience, you may be able to get a freelance to write for you. Just do a search for writers forums on the internet, and you will come up with many sources.
As for learning to write yourself - there's heaps of advice on the internet. Your first port of call should be www.writersdigest.com From there - you will find everything you need from reviews on the best books to learn article writing, to forums, competitions, and they have lots of links to other writing sites.
If you need any more info, don't hesitate to ask.
