hi everyone i need some advice ,
I hit #1 for a major keyword for my blog which brings me lots of traffic , now the problem is im afraid to post more articles because im afraid that ill loose my position since i already did before .
I would appreciate some advice from bloggers who are more advanced
Do I leave it alone ?
Do i post more articles and just let it ride ..
How would you guys proceed .
I also read from kens book that if your site hits number 1 for a keyword leave it alone , on the other hand many web masters say to keep your content fresh
im quite confused ........... |

You have to ask yourself: What does your blog do for you?
I'd look at it this way, if your blog is getting a lot that's great, but is it converting? Are your readers going to notice that you haven't posted in days, weeks, or months? Will they even want to click on any ads or affiliate links because they ran across a stale blog?
I'd continue to blog. Don't worry about the search engines. Worry about your readership. Build that up. Blogs are great examples of the "long tail", which is why you should continue blogging. _________________ 2009 Insider Secrets

Mikedom, I agree with Voasi.
Consistent and persistent addition of content is going to help you mature your blog, build your blog's internal link popularity, and increase the readership of your blog.
If you have a blog like Wordpress, you can get a plugin that helps stick a home page, so it doesn't rotate like a typical blog does, and then all your blog posts then get posted to categories. So when a post gets a good ranking, its good for that post, and it doesn't affect you continuing to post, or the other posts from getting good rankings on their own for their own search terms. Make sense? _________________ Sherman Hu
