hey,

i have several domains which are managed in one web package. that means i have 200 mb webspace and i can allocate different directories to the different domains i have. so now i put one of my sites into the root directory of my webspace and everything works fine with adsense. i put my second site in a subfolder, lets call it site2. the domain is allocated to this folder.
so when someone visits the site he is immeadiately redirected to
/site2/index.htm

now adsense shows the ads as if the person would visit my site in the root folder /index.htm. the ads dont have anything to do with the topic on the second site. do you have a solution?

thank you

First, I'd recommend that you contact your host.

Sounds like a rather "cheesy" way of putting multiple domains into one account by your host. I use 1and1.com and my domains are in separate sub-folders, but mine doesn't redirect how you mention.

Hey,

I completely agree with Robert, it does indeed sound like you may be using a free hosting company? Cause 200mb and a whack subdomain tree doesnt sound very professional, especially if its nerfing your AdSense. I would think if its negatively impacting your sites revenue stream you should find a remedy.

The best hosts are the ones who have seperate root folders for each domain you have hosted with them, each one with its own directory and file structure.

You might try the Google section targetting, where I believe you can point to a particular section of your content for the Adsense ads to get their context from.

Here's their Help page about it:
