Post subject: What is the benefit of wordPress?
|
|
|
Hello;
I like to know what is the benefit of using wordPress?
is it better to have your blog runs in your host in terms of promoting your web site?
I aready have a blog using blogger.com, now I am not sure if it is better to have my blog in my host using word press or just let it be.
Thanks.

The no. 1 benefit is it's free and it works!

There is no need to and it's entirely up to you. There are many popular blogs that have been hosted on blogger and typepad. Having a blog hosted on your domain though gives you greater control and a sense of security. It's like staying in a rented house and your own house _________________ Work at Home Forum |

Apart from being free, it is very flexible in terms of the plugins and templates that it offers. wordpress is rated as one of the best blogging tools by many. Very easy to install and run for a beginer. I used blogger for a long time but now i have wordpress running on my servers.
Wordpress allows you to create a number of categories which blogger does not. there are also a lot of "plugins" available at the wordpress site and elsewhere which allows you to do a lot of things such as pulling rss feeds, displaying photos(flickr), managing links, displaying your amazon books (with your aff id), easy adsense and chitika integration. All these make runnning a blog a breeze which would be difficult in blogger where you have to manually edit the template.
There are also thousands of beautiful themes you could choose from and change with a click. There are thousands of other benefits that can be spoken of...If you are seriously into making money through blogging definitely try wordpress and ofcourse its free! _________________ A part-time effort to a full-time income |

Doesn't make any difference, though having a blog on your own servers gives you more flexibility and ease of use. If you plan to use Wordpress's free hosting to host your blog, you cannot use the plugins and templates. As far as backlinks go, it matters only if your blog is doing extremely well with the SEs and traffic and a link back to your site may help. Otherwise a blog within your site actaully helps and tells the SEs and peole that you give fresh content and the reason for them to stay. _________________ A part-time effort to a full-time income
