Post subject: Beef with Dropshippers

Hello Board! I am very impressed with this board and plan on staying for a while.
"What grinds my gears"
I am at the very least INFURIATED over spending money for a list of products that are priced ABOVE retail!!! What is it with these guys? I am outright pissed off over the whole "we say retail is 300% more than what it is." Then they put a slash through the unheard of price and put the retail price that you could find at your local retail store (give or take a percentage or two).
Yea...retail STORE, like brick and mortar. The fact that they tell you that you will make money on something that isn't even pheasable is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. I have wasted the last 6 months of my every free moment on searching for something that doesn't exist. I'm just fed up with the boards being spammed-too! So if you wanna play "affiliate" and post a link you can save it!!!
It is absolutely outrageous that these guys get away with ripping people off on an idea. I know that you can contact a manufacturer and get an everlasting runaround, who knows, maby you'll find a legitimate dropshipper before you die!?!! I hate it when I'm telling them how I will actually LOSE money by selling their products, and they just say how "you should buy in bulk for a better deal." Oh so now losing money and time and resources is a "DEAL!!!!" Absolutely rediculous!
Or how about the "you choose the price" line? Oh really? If I want to sell a box of toothpicks for $50,000,000,000,000,000.00 I can? WOW! Sign me up! No one in their right mind will buy an iPod for $112, just to try and sell it for the market value of $110. Isn't anyone pissed off by this concept that the dropshippers are feeding us?
I'm sorry if I seem a bit harsh but I have lost so much over this drop ship thing that seems to not exist. I found a couple of companies to dropship for me but the money isn't that great. The point is I am looking for a variety of products to sell and it just doesn't work like the scam artists say it does.
How do these guys stay eBay certified and BBB qualified if they are just taking your money to take it again?
Does anyone know of PROVEN techniques NOT LINKS!!!!!! of dropshipping avenues?
My apologies if I have offended anyone. I am absolutely in complete and utter disgust over losing all of my spare time and money chasing this ever-so-marketed concept that has left me broken and beaten that I just had to shout about it, in hopes that maby someone who has ACTUALLY been successful could point me in the right direction. I made sure not to mention any names or companies.
Thank you all listening to this addition of "what grinds my gears" |

I take you are a member of worldwidebrands.com then?
I am thinking of buying membership, but I am not 100% sold yet. Can anyone tell me if they found legitimate drop shippers in the world wide brands directory? |

go to ebay, sign in, then search for "ipod" and then click the box that says "show completed listings only" then hit enter. Then you will see all the completed ipod auctions, look for the green numbers, those are sold auctions. I see tons of ipods selling for far more than the $112 you mention above. Where did you buy your dropshipper list? Was it one of those five dollar "drop ship seller lists" ? |

Thank you Kount. I knew this already. I have been well versed in internet research, although I am no master. I actually have a program that feeds me data about eBay. I have not joined world wide brands. I was considering it. I must admit that I was infuriated when posting because I had jsut been let down....AGAIN! Nothing against world wide brands, but unless there is a refund policy, I doubt it's legitamacy.
The ipod numbers I spit out wern't actual prices I had seen. Just for an example of whta I have seen in dropshippers. |

I have only used dropshippers recommended by WWB for the past three years for a mall site I own with a friend. I use approximately 30 dropshippers. I have only had one problem with one of the dropshippers they recommended, and when I contacted WWB they had it resolved before the end of the day. I have been extremely pleased with WWB. _________________ MoonShadows Farm

Thats nice, but I really would need to see that something works before I buy it. Do you have a sample of some of the numbers of dropshippers?
I think this is a fair thing to ask, considering its not a bother to you. |

There are many places to find legi dropshippers outside of WWB. However, I like WWB simply because it compiles them into an easy list for you.
WWB is legit, and so is their list. Their market wizard is pretty slick too... tells you what is hot and what isn't.
Do I use WWB now? No... because I already have my vendors, and my membership lapsed before World Wide Brands changed their policy (lifetime membership now). If I was hunting for new vendors, I would probably buy a new membership into World Wide Brands. _________________ Eric D. Burdo
