Hi,
Anybody having problems with these guys since Computer Associates took them over? They've suddenly decided to stop answering any emails from me in relation to affiliate payments and at this point they owe me several hundred dollars.
Sad really as I thought I had a good working relationship with them.
Any thoughts?

Hi niallr! Yep! I'm having problems now. I purchased Their "Internet Security Suite" and nothing but trouble with the program and other programs on my computer ever since. I tried to get help from the Teck by phone but was advise it would cost me 46 odd $ to get help solving problems with their crap that cost me 36$. anybody see something wrong with this picture. I then went via the email route and have been waiting for three days for a reply. The anti-virus part of their program does not work and so I've been exposed to virus since I uninstalled my anti-virus as they advised before downloading their junk. My opinion is they don't give a hoot. They have my money and any effort to help me is just going to affect their bottom line. We need to get the word out on them. Wonder why they want to rip off the little people [/quote] |

Hi ME2,
They finally got around to replying to me after 6 weeks. Normally these guys are fast off the mark with replies which is why I found it so weird that they weren't just being slow they just weren't replying at all.
In any case the affiliate manager did contact me and I did get paid - it's just quarterly payments so they're hard to track.
What specific problem are you having with your PC? Maybe I can help
Thanks for posting

OK niallr, just to be sure we are talking about the same concern?..I?m referring to dealing with ?eTrust Computer Associates?. It?s been four days now and I have not heard from their teck support. I did finally get word from customer support today but that took two and all they did was refer me back to teck support. It appears they are just bobbing and weaving and just passing the buck. I?ll just have to take my licks and get away from the crumbs, chalk it up to experience. Thanks for the offer of assistance but I believe I need the crumbs assistance ----when I try to start their anti-virus program I get an error message----something about a missing .DLL file. The other is the slow down of my computer?? If I don?t get some satisfaction in the next few days I?m going to uninstall the whole blasted thing. Can you recommend another anti-virus program. Many thanks for the reply and take care. ME2 |

Hi ME2,
It's the same company from what I know of them. They took over another company called Qurb a few months back and ever since it's been a pain in the behind getting a reply from their affiliate team but that seems to have sorted itself now.
What DLL file does it say is missing? The slowdown of your PC might be because the Heuristics settings inside the AV program is slowing your computer to tar.
I use Norton AV myself and have done for years - it works pretty well although I normally keep a second virus scanner installed in case of emergencies
Hope that helps.

Hi niall. When I try to start the anti-virus Program I get an error message----"ISAFEIF.DLL" can't be found. Now the "PestPatrol" will not function as per the option selected---it is set to the recommended by "eTrust"--"UPDATE BUT ADVISE ME BEFORE DOING SO". I can update the "anti-virus" and "PestPatrol" manually. I received a Newsletter from eTrust and in the body of the text it says "Get it and forget it". Well I've got it but I can't forget it. Hard to forget it when you get it up the shute. Into the sixth day and still no word from their teck support. Too much for me. I received mail from Customer Support and it looks like I will get a refund. Prior to downloading the "Security Suite" I had the eTrust one year free Anti-virus and it worked like a charm. Too bad---I was looking forward to having a good program with no problems. Many thanks for your attention. Take care. ME2 |
