Post subject: Why are pixels getting so much attention for advertising?

First off Pixels are fun to look at. If you join the right pixels and place your website on it you can get a lot of exposure and even keep track of how many hits you recieve to your website and also make money.

Are you sure? I can't see anyone in their right mind actually clicking on the ads especially when there are 1000's of others around.

it will dye out soon. The guy who first thought of it deserved every penny in my opinion just for coming up with a good idea. Theres loads of the sites about now and i wouldnt even look twice at them.

The milliondollarhomepage.com was started by a teen who wanted to pay for his college. This idea was innovative and funny as well  . It is like one of those innovative items sold on eBay ex. Someone sold his friendship on eBay. He was willing to be the best friend of the winning bidder for 1 week (or 1 month - not sure). If someone tries this again, I don't think this idea will fly so well. No one is going to bid on this.
So also the Pixel ad. Atleast I wouldn't want to buy from anyone (maybe from Million dollar home page but not others) and I don't know anybody who would want buy pixels.
People just visit the page just to look at it - that's all... There about 126,000 websites linking to million dollar home page and it has a traffic rank of around 1200. Like i said people just visit this page out of curiosity.

I tried to sell my soul on ebay but they cancelled it and sent me an email saying your not allowed to sell ghosts, spirits or soul's.
Bummer my site was getting loads of attention.

A british company is still thinking it is a good idea and offers pixels banners instead of popups and regular banners.
