Post subject: What do they mean by impressions?

I use google adwords and I use the term use very loosely since it's not doing much for me. But anyway, I only had like 22 clicks I think, but it said 12,000 impressions. What do they mean by that? I searched google help, but it wasn't very helpful. _________________ http://www.dentalplans.has.it/

impressions means how many people been on the same page while your ad was there and potentialy could have clicked it.
If your ad is located on a place on the page that people hardly get to... like the bottom or that the page is over crowded with information or ads - then you could have millions impressions but no clicks.
Keep in mind that google uses the adsense program on their ads and with that increasing the number of impressions. _________________ Dondor,

With AdWords you'd have to increase your bid to get a better positioning and this way your CTR should increase. As donor said, if your ad is posted on the bottom of the page, it will be displayed, so you'll have a lot of impressions, but very few clicks.
PS: just out of curiosity - why do you have the "milliondollarhomepage" link in your signature? Do you advertise on it? _________________ Prepaid calling cards
