I built a site using SBI and it's a site full of content-rich pages, including some affiliate links. I also singed up with another affiliate program recently and this program is no different from others in that they will give you text/banner links, but one:they will give you a full commerce site(50 pages +) or your private label site as your choice but you'll have to have your own domain name and web hosting account.

I already chose my domain name for this site and I opened a web hosting account. Since this site is not a content-rich site, but a simply a full e-commerce site,I thought I'd have to take a different approach to promote my site.

I've been thinking that sending an application to Yahoo for $299 may be the best start ? If somene has a full e-commerce affiliate site with your own domain name, how are you promoting/marketing your site and products?

I want this site listed at Google, but Google likes content-rich sites. And I also noticed that many full e-commerce sites are ranked quite well.

I appreciate your advice.

If this site is a duplicate of the merchant's, there is next to zero chance of you being accepted by Yahoo, so I'd be very reluctant to pay them just in case.

When it comes to Google, they will be looking for original content, too.

Your best approach with a site like this is either to buy traffic from the PPCs, or to create a separate content site to drive traffic to it. Also, how about small ads, on or offline?

Just my thoughts,
Charlie.
