Hi Tony,

It's unfortunate, but I've quickly learned that the more successful you get, the more you'll be dealing with this kind of cr*p. Just in the last two months, someone stole some content of mine. Right after I got that resolved, someone else copied and published one of my home pages right down to the logo and even had my google adsense client # in the html -- serving the ads! I about had a cow, lol.

That's resolved now too but I'm paranoid it's going to happen again. It's hard to be irritated and flattered at the same time... but I am... if that's possible. Anyway, I agree with Debs, try to get a hold of google. That's about all you can do. In the meantime, make up a better ad if you can.

Good Luck!

Was this a good thing or a bad thing?

Perhaps you didn't give them long enough to generate traffic. Rolling Eyes Wink

Hi Charlie,

Yeah, it's kind of funny, I thought about that too.... (LOL) ... but, of course it's still not right. I should have mentioned that it looked like he was getting into some type of music sharing and I figured it would be against the TOS, or very iffy. He had me real nervous.

It took about a week to get ahold of him, then he took it down immediately. Amazing, I still never heard back from his well-known, free webhost. Either they never did get around to taking a look, or they did and noticed everything was ok by then and decided not to reply. (I had to contact the host as his e-mails were bouncing for a couple days) It has really lowered my opinion of them. Just by taking a look, there was no question what happened. My url was in the html too. BTW, His site is still up, just looks comletely different. Very Happy

Anyway, two problems in two months. What's next?
Hmmm

No, but your approach of going to the host is a good one I reckon. They often tend to take matters more seriously.

He probably just needed a warning from someone holding a big stick. In matters such as these, I thinks it's often more naivety than malice. He'll probably leave the rest of us alone from now on.

A few more I shouldn't doubt.

That's a good sign, though. Most successful people have a few problems along the way. Smile

Cheers,
Charlie.
