|

Hello guys and girls of the forum....
A minute ago i checked my cj account and saw that
I have done my first sale. The commission is $13.17.
That's 7% of $188,14. My site's name was registered
3 months ago on August 8th and uses only traffic
from free search engines. A week ago I have posted
because I was in first page of google results for my
primary keyword. I think the first sale is the most
critical moment because you prove to your self that
everything you were reading before you took the
decision to begin your affiliate attempts was true. Now
I know it works. From today everything is going to be
a numbers game. I am very happy since here in
Greece we have a very big problem with unemployment
and I thing I can make it happen to make a living online.
I wish success to all of you

Congratulations anastasis
I just made my first sale 2 weeks ago.
It sure is a great feeling to know this
affiliate marketing stuff really works
I'm now making at least a few dollars everyday
and I'm sure you will to before long.
Unemployment is pretty high here to, in western
Canada, so I am also hoping to turn this into a
full-time job like you.
GOOD LUCK with your site!

Thanks for all your comments.
I will inform you when my first check arrives.
Now something else. I built my site with sbi. That means $300 for a year and also paid for a submission in the yahoo directory which is another $300 for a year. I kind of regret it that I started building a theme-content site but since everything is paid for a year I will do my best. You know it's too much too pay that money and don't know if it's going to work. When the first check arrives I will buy some products about mini sites. If a mini site doesn't work you damp it and the expenses are not many. Has anyone of you read Phil Willey's ebook which says about affiliate marketing with mini sites? If yes what's your experience? And Marlon Sander's "Create your own products in a flash". The bad thing is that I only see testimonials for all marketing products from other marketers.

The costs involved in building a mini site (except for your time) are the same as those for a larger content site, meaning if you know how to build a mini site cheaply then you can build a content site cheaply. The concept is the same, only one has more pages than the other. |

The approach works - if you follow the quide. I'm sorry if you regret taking the step into web publishing, but the SBI! philosophy is more than sound.
When it comes to Yahoo, cases vary.

Yes, I've read it. Unfortunately, I had read many other marketing books first, so it wasn't that great for me.
But he covers the minisite approach as well as anybody I've seen. The book is very practical, and more direct that Ken Evoy's style of writing.
Incidentally, despite certain rumours, there's only one "l" in Wiley.

That's a bit of a problem with marketing products in general, I'm afraid. If all else fails, ask for a refund. If your reasons are genuine, it's fair.
All the best,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Anastasis, Here's my review of Phil Wiley's Mini Site Profits:
"High school dropout creates profits from mini sites"
http://www.associateprograms.com/search/newsletter182.shtml
However, I urge you not to give up too early on creating information-rich, keyword rich, theme-based based sites.
Yes, they require time, money and effort to do well. However, if you get them right, they can produce fat checks, month after month after month, with minimal maintenance. And with a lot less work, in the end, than mini-sites.
To my way of thinking, it's worth a bit of struggle to achieve really good results.
My advice: Every day, look for one small thing you can improve in your business. If you do that for long enough, eventually you'll have a very profitable business.
Hope that helps. _________________ Allan Gardyne
