Post subject: Does James Martell Now Pay For Traffic?
|
|
|
I heard on The Buzz that James has a site about Hips. I decided to try to find it.
I think I may have found it but the site I found wasn't found via the free searches but via the paid listings. I did a search for "hip replacement" at Google and in the Adwords Ads at number eight was this site: http://www.hip-replacement-care.com. This looks like a Martell site to me. I also did a search at www.ask.com for "what happens after hip replacement" and in the paid listings the above site appears again but this time in the number three slot of the paid listings.
If James is now using paid listings it would be nice if he would tell us this in the Buzz or in the updates section of the handbook.
Anyone got any views on this? |

That sure is one of his, I've seen that contact email address on his other sites.
Interesting... maybe he's experimenting with paid ads or just thinks it's too risky to add to his system, since it can be tricky. I would like to see more of what he's currently doing, though. One example of a site doing well on G would be nice.
I do understand being hush hush, though... one of his 'students' was sabotaged, someone clicked this person's Google ads like 1000 times in a day and the person was dropped from adsense. _________________ my affiliate marketing blog

This is 100% James Martell's website....
I stopped my buzz Subscription a few months ago what you hear on the buzz is what he wants you to hear if you know what I mean.
I remember on an old buzz James said he never uses adwords for sites just promoting his book, well what with this then. I know times change maybe it's a different direction, maybe for a long time James has been taken a different direction but not telling his students.
Don?t get me wrong I wish him all the best in his online business, but don?t follow what James says 100% his idea are great his guidelines are great but things change on the Internet monthly/weekly and daily.
Like James be prepared to test test and test and I guess that what this is |

I think James Martell is actually an alien from the planet Zorban. He came to our planet to subvert the affiliate marketing industry by teaching people how to do things one way but not following these methods himself.
Everything he does in his own business is done under top-secret conditions because he actually doesn't want anyone else to really learn how it should be done.
He's counting on YOU to follow his teachings like lemmings and not do any testing or thinking for yourself.
Sheesh... what's with all the conspiracy theories about James not telling us something |

These post have made me laugh as it exposes a way to make money and I have been doing it for months. This takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of maintence but you can make money by following a certain adwords niche for a big drop down.
Lets say the term widget is 1.00 click thru for the top spot. for the second spot its 10 cents third spot 5 cents.
You bid on the third one and let the user click on to your site where you have two chances at the 1.00 and 50 cent click.
I am not saying that is what James is doing but it does work. I also think some people dont understand the handbook is only a guide. You have to do other things as the affiliate market changes. Most of my sites have their own blogs and rss feeds. I am not saying you should do that but expand your mind a bit.
I am sure James has other sites that he is testing some other stuff on and besides its not about just google anymore. |

Actually, I don't think James has to count on that; people do that on their own. That's why you always see the bitter pan-handlers who whine when he doesn't give them every secret in the book. _________________ Robert

Come on people!
PPC is a viable strategy. Let's look at this... just the basics. Say you want to build a site on widgets. Your plan --- hire writers for 200 articles at $5 per piece --- OR --- write 200 articles yourself at 150 hours.
But before you spend a penny why not test the market and see what the interest is.
It's SMART testing. It isn't anything new. There's this guy - maybe you've heard of him Perry Marshall. He talked about this 2 years ago.

Certainly you're exagerating here! It was a good time though; I definitely recommend it to anyone serious about this business. _________________ Robert

It was a lot of fun meeting and putting faces to the post!
There are some very creative and amazing people hanging out here. I had the pleasure of flying to phoenix with Jeremy and visiting the whole time!
It is fun to post online but getting together face to face and sharing cannot be matched. Andrea - who's templates I highly recommend - is right. You need to test. What works for someone else OR even on one of your sites may not work the same on another site or topic.
One of the sessions involved getting results when you think you've tried everything. The end result was --- what have you tried new? When you hit a wall... turn left or right and find away around it.
In closing, let me say THANK YOU for all those who gave me a brief opportunity to get to know better, I learned sooooooo MUCH and you have inspired me way beyond what you can imagine --- I already cannot wait until next year... plus some new and special friendships have been forged... and for those I did not get to visit with please accept my apoligies --- the time is so short.

Being able to speak to publishers, advertisers,
and CJ staff made the business very real.
I learned a lot from all in a great environment,
Santa Barbara.
I was very fortunate to have met Gary, to speak
with him on our trip to Phoenix. Inspiring...
Talk about being at the right place at the right time.

Jeremy,
I was just as inspiring to meet you! You gave me some ideas to explore.
After spending time with so many wondeful people who each approach this business in a different way it has become very evident that this business is a "head game"
It can become so easy to get side tracked on things which are unIMPORTANT!
Keep you head in the game!
All the Best,
P.S. Jeremy have you figured out which one of the 150 ideas you're going to try out! _________________ Gary

guys , lets be honest , its not like the old days when you create a web site and 3 months later you rank number one on google and start getting tons of visitors. james martells book is way out of date .
things have changed , google is getting alot smarter , to rank high in google can take up to 2 years and im talking about real good rankings.
you have 2 choices , its very simple
#1 . wait it out and just keep on adding pages ,get links and so on ......
or
#2 . go with a ppc campaign
I dont see james martell doing anything wrong with going ppc because times have really changed , but i do think his book needs a major makeover and he should anounce it .
His book and also many other books online from other authors are definatly not worth the money in todays' internet marketing , they are badly outdated . i dont mean to be disrespectful its only my opinion .
the only reason why james martell , rosalind gardner , and so many others are still making lots of money is because they been there along time ,
if you think about it , its always the same people bragging that they are making lots of money and if you look at their testomonials they are all the same people with links going back and forth going to other sites . (lol)
i call them the peanut gallery .
i dont think they would be doing so great if they would start from scratch in todays online marketing relying only on search engines.
oh, i forgot to mention , they are also doing great because they have suckers like us buying their books (lol) . |

Yeah, you're right Mike, it's probably just a small group making lots of bucks and we are the ones paying them. On the other hand remember that James almost went out of business last year when almost all his sites got 0-PR-ed by Google. Reason??.
But since then he immediately responded with setting up new, improved, but confidential sites like this hip-replacement site. More or less starting from scratch with approx. 90 sites down! Which in itself does not really boost his credentials, does it, but anyhow:
Since his new sites are confidential it shows he still sees this as a profitable business. At least the sites are obviously not there anymore to sell more of his books.
And I remember in his book he kind of said people could have a look at PPC as long as your site isn't indexed. This hip-replacement site looks real young. It is in Google, but no PR yet. So I don't see anything strange in him using ppc. It's more or less according to the Book! And if you think you have a niche with potentially good returns, why not give it a try? _________________ Gnoes |

they all bragg on how they rank well in google , and how life is beautiful on the net , but i dare any of them show me proof of a site thats getting good rankings with major keywords as proof from google that was built after january 2005 .
and im talking without ppc .
For all you so called professional "guros" out there , show me proof instead of promoting ebooks that were written 3 years ago .
