Interesting disussion...
I started reading about James Martell a few years ago and was intrigued that he had 100+ sites that were organic traffic based.
My question is: how did his sites make out with Google's update Jagger?
Is he now doing PPC?

I myself dont think james ppc much, he has stated he uses it for the manual site.
I use it when I launch a new site myself but not much just to get the ball rolling. As for Jagger I bet his rankings went up a bit as they cleared out a lot of spam sites that snuck into the rankings.
I noticed my sites go up in traffic after Jagger so I would think his did too. |

hey nyfalcon,
people were saying that james martell links / linked alot. I know that was a particular beef with google for update jagger.
that's why i was wondering about affiliates who use only organic traffic.

it would stand to reason that anyone would buy links. Best to buy high pr links preferably authority links. ie govt or some such authority site in your industry.. Buying incoming links is a must in my minid anyways. its time consuming and very difficult creating content that other sites are just going to "want" to link to. It would also stand to reason that you would seek out sites that have high pr sites, authority sites linking to them and paying to have that site link to you.
on another point. caveat emptor - buyer beware
